Hi family! Last night the Tokio Hotel hurricane visited my program Internight. So good. They were great from the first moment.

They arrived punctually, at 22:30 h. The four of them thinking green – they were holding a beer. They were so nice, close and very funny. They weren’t ashamed when they answered the questions you left for them. We even talked about the size of Tom’s underpants he, he. It’s clear that Bill does not want pressure while they are composing songs that beat the pop masterpiece Monsoon. Gustav smiled several times! No doubt he’s the most serious of the four boys. Georg sat at my right and, even though he didn’t talk a lot on the radio, he was so polite with all the staff. The Kaulitz twins were who talked the most at the interview. Bill answering the questions seriously, and Tom joking he, he.

To sum up, they all were fucking awesome. Speaking broken Spanish, they said words like “Perfecto” “Hola que tal” (Perfect, How are you?). I asked them if they knew Spanish songs, and they sang “Vamooos a la playaaaa oh oh oh oh ohhhh” y “tengoooo la camisaaaa negraaaaa”. I told them that the first ones were Rigueira, Italiens, and the second is Juanes, Colombian, and they said all at the same time “Mieeeerdaaaaaa!!!” (shit!)

The fans of the boys breaked the records of the program: a lot of people in the chat, more than 150 comments at the Internight blog, even though it was raining lots of fans were waiting at the doors of the studio… Tokio Hotel rules.

We’re having some building work done, I promise you I was tidying up all the afternoon and preparing everything for their visit. When we finished the interview they wanted to take a break to smoke a cigarette. And they went in the Paul McCartney studio, which looks as if a bomb exploded in there. Destroyed. But they wanted to be there! If I knew it before, I wouldnt have cleaned anything! he, he. When they came back from the cigarette time they waved to the people through the webcam, and I asked them to paint a logo of the 40 Principales to their liking. It’s for an action that my fellows of los 40 in Mexico. Here you are some pics of that “artistic inspiration” moment (what you see is not the first thing they drew, they had to paint over that drawings… so imagine what those drawings were…). Gustav painted drawing dots, I told him he is from Van Gogh school.

Once everything was colored, we took some pics and they said goodbye so nicely and promising they’ll come back soon. We hope it will be like that.

Hamburg (ots) – “I don’t want to settle down and I want to have as much fun as possible”, Tom Kaulitz, member of the Band Tokio Hotel, tells GALA in a new exclusive interview. (Availible on October 1st) “Too many beautiful girls are out there.” Also his twin brother Bill is Single: “I want to love. But it just didn’t happen yet.” The brothers also talk openly with GALA about their experiences with Drugs: “There were times where we drank a lot out of boredom, smoked some pot and smashed some pills”, says Tom. The new Album from Tokio Hotel, “Humanoid”, will be out on October 2nd.

They shouldn’t be taken as role models! The Tokio Hotel Twins confess: “There were times, where it happened, that we drank a lot, smoked pot and smashed some pills out of boredom” says guitarist Tom Kaulitz in an interview with his brother Bill.

The 20-year-ols revealed to the the magazine “Gala”: “Even we experimented with that kind of stuff and we started relatively early.” At the 13 the Magdeburger boys received drugs and alcohol from older friends.

Singer Bill Kaulitz accentuates that those nebulous experiences are in the past now: “It’s all in the past now!” On the other hand brother Tom describes their life, as it is now, like this: “We party very rarely, but when we party then it gets pretty wild!“

That such statements cannot be taken as a mission statement for underaged fans doesn’t impress the twins particularly. According to Bill and Tom the band doesn’t have a target group: “15 year old can listen to Tokio Hotel as well as a 40 year old mom.”

And according to Tom he doesn’t even take love seriously: "I don’t want to settle down and I want to have as much fun as possible."

Even if they don’t take drugs anymore: Bill and Tom Kaulitz from “Tokio Hotel” still love to party.

A target group? “We don’t have one! A 15 year old can listen to Tokio Hotel as well like a 40 year old mother”, Bill and Tom Kaulitz, Singer and guitarist of the, at the moment, worldwide most successful german Teenie-Band, Tokio Hotel, accentuate. The best conditions to sell their new album. With Gala the twins spoke about colorful pills, the dark side of fame – and hair…

How much do you feel the pressure of success?
Bill: It’s there. But we’re successful since almost 5 years. The fate, to end as an one-hit-wonder doesn’t threaten us anymore. It’s relaxing.

But your fanbase consists of Teenagers. And they’re turning their back on something very quickly…
Tom: Our aim is to keep the Fans that we have. And we succeeced in doing so. Furthermore we aren’t targeting our music to a special audience. A 15 year old can listen to “Tokio Hotel” as well as a 40 year old mother, as long as they have a good taste in music!

Bill, after a few weeks you changed your hairstyle…
Bill: …and it’s annoying that everytime I do something, people are making a big fuss about it. I like to experiment and I didn’t like the dreadlocks anymore. It took them almost a day to dry, after washing them. Super annoying!
Tom: Hair is a quirk of Bill. If I would not interfere, he would have dyed his hair platinum blonde and cut it army-style…

Are you scared that someday you won’t be able to whithstand the pressure of the Showbiz anymore?
Bill: The danger is present and I can comprehend those wicked “falls” of other Stars. But Tom and I have a decisive advantage: We have us and the band. When I imagine, that I would have to stand all of this alone, then I wouldn’t know if I could come out of this without some permanent damage to myself and where I would be today…

What experiences do you have with drugs?
Tom: Even we experimented and started with it at a very young age. Already at age 13 we had older friends with whom we hung out. There were some times where we drank a lot, smoked pot and smashed some pills out of boredom.
Bill: But it’s in the past now! You need a lot of self-discipline to put 100% in your performance on stage and to not collapse under all this stress.
Tom: We party very rarely, but when we do then it get’s pretty wild!

You’re twins. Are you really that close to each other?
Bill: I would never get the idea to plan something without Tom. We’re never seperated longer than two days. And even this is hell for me. We’re like one person, we don’t even need to talk to each other to know what the other is thinking right now. Tom and I will live together our whole life.

Tell us the truth: Sometimes even you get on your nerves, not?
Bill: Sure, it happens – but very rarely. When we fight, then we do it right: We swear and scream at each other. Then they all run for cover and leave the room. We know exactly which buttons we have to push, so that the situation escalates.
Tom: That’s right, we irritate each other so much, until we want to punch the other in the face. And also do it.

“Tokio Hotel” is loved and hated: How do you handle hostility?
Tom: When somebody insults me, I insult him too. I get provoked easily. It was always like this, we never fit in – that’s why a lot of people didn’t like us. Already at school Bill and I had girlfriends which were older than us. I had a new one every day and Bill tried monogamy. It provokes other guys and makes them jealous. And I love it!

Bill, everybody always claims that you’re gay…
Bill: I had to deal with this topic already permanently at school. Make-Up and a complex hairstyle on a boy – sure that a lot of people jump to conclusions. But hey, I’m not gay and if I were then I wouldn’t have a problem to admit it…

Is there still no time for a girlfriend in your life?
Bill: No, because I want to love. But it just didn’t happen yet.
Tom: And I don’t want to settle down, I want to have as much fun as possible. There are too many beautiful girls out there. But maybe it’s also because I’ve never been in love before.

What’s the most annoying thing that comes with your celebrity status?
Bill: I’m missing spontaneity. I can’t just simply go out to the cinema or to eat some ice-cream. Everything has to be planned for weeks. A life according to script. Sure, you get used to it after some time. But there are still some moments where I miss my former, completely normal, life.
Tom: There are few times, where we can just hang out a whole week. The business is constantly on the run. That’s why, even when we’re on vacation, we never let our thoughts drift away. Bill and I spent 2 weeks on the maledives and it was cool to laze on the beach. But in my head I was still thinking permanently about work. There isn’t a day where we don’t deal with “Tokio Hotel”.
Bill: All in all, it’s still completely ok like this. “Tokio Hotel” isn’t a job, it’s our life. And indeed a damn wicked life.

Tokio Hotel – “Humanoid”
(Stunner Records/Universal, 2nd October)

Since we give unconditional credence to philologist Dr. René Reinholz and his statements on the subject of Tokio Hotel, it is also clear in our minds that this band is probably the best mirror for the mental state of German young men’s souls. Distinctive homophobia, misogyny aimed at minors, the feeling of never-ending superiority over younger girls’ taste in music, verbal aggression compensating for feelings of inferiority, sexual envy and complete refusal of commercial success glorified as nonconformity – all of that mixed together in an unappetising way, that’s what it probably looks like in the minds of many male adolescents who happily slaughter Tokio Hotel.

Or to take witticism by Sven Regener out of context: Big thoughts, small brain. However, even the cool kids, nerds and eggheads like to shine with the eternal youthful nonsense that the music of the Kaulitz twins would be constructed and “of course couldn’t be taken seriously”. This very good third Tokio Hotel album would bluntly be wasted as being [only] a guilty pleasure though.

Cyber romance, androgynous ambiguity and professionally glammed up songs that only seem ridiculous if one finds desires of unknown origin and love itself ridiculous. Parts of “Kampf der Liebe” (Pain of Love) were arguably borrowed from Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana” and “Für immer jetzt” (Forever Now) is close to “Durch den Monsun” (Monsoon). However the force, magic and martyrdom of the title track and the homage to the Smashing Pumkins “Geisterfahrer” (Phantomrider) are pure and genuine. Please send your readers’ letters with the usual hostilities (“How much did the record label pay you?”, “From today the reviewer is definitely not credible anymore.”) to the well-known P.O. box.

The Kaulitz brothers — Bill and Tom — present their new Tokio Hotel album Humanoid with Gustav Schafer and Georg Listing at Hotel Palace on Monday (September 28) in Madrid, Spain.

The German mega-band later made a pasta dish during an appearance on Channel Cuatro’s El Hormiguero (The Ant Hill). Before the show, Bill licked an apron and threw it at fans waiting outside the TV studio. Check out the pasta-making video below!

The group’s new album Humanoid is due out October 6.

The German band will release in October theur new album, Humanoid.
They present a more electronic style and also a new look.
They answered some questions of the users from 20minutos.es.

Tokio Hotel aren't anymore what they were. After one year almost desapeared, the German band, lead by the twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz, came back with a new album in their arms Humanoid (Universal), that will be released in the next October 6th around the world.

And this time changed their sound, which has now electronic sources, btu also their aesthetics. A big mowhak is now on the top of the lead singer's head, and walks as he can with some high heels. His brother left his dreads behind and now he has dark braids.

Together with Georg and Gustav, bassist and drummer of the band, were in a centre hotel in Madrid with several Spanish media, with whom they talked from their new work and to their personal life. In a distended enviromment and full of jokes, the guys from Tokio Hotel answered to questions of some users of 20minutos.es.

How is the new album, Humanoid?
Bill: We tryed to scape a little from the public life for a year so we could record, and from that 16 musics came. The sound is much more electronic, we wanted something more than a base with bass and drumms, even still the guitars keep there. We and our producer we had the clear idea we wanted to try something new, for example, synthesizers.

Is it true that you were inspired in sci-fi?
Bill: We didn't read too much about it and, since the beggining, it wasn't something we had in our minds all the time to do the album. But we realized after it that, definitly, Humanoid has a lot of sci-fi.

Do you have already dates for the tour? Will you come to Spain?
Tom: It will start in the beggining of 2010, but it can go until April! (laughs) But no, we still don't have dates for Spain.

Bill's new looks is, let's say, rare. Is there any reason for such a fast changing? (Andrea, 20minutos.es'user)
Bill: It has nothing to do with strategy, is something more personal. We dress ourselfs as we want in that moment and we hope our fans like it, but it is nothing crucial. It's more about feel fine with ourselfs.
Tom: Gustav said that, he feels always way to confortable (laughs).

You follow the fashion?
Bill: Since we were 7 or 8 years old, we started creating a personal style. I not always had some money, so really early I started doing my clothes with the fabric I could. Even my mother helped me. Nowadays, it still have interest in that world [of fashion].
Tom: When Bill was young, he jumped into the trash... And then he started dressing himself in a distinct way (laughs).

Does the subject paparazzi has a good side? (Gala&Alba, 20minutos.es'user)
Bill: It's hard to go out on the street, yes, but we admit that we can't go out alone and without bodyguards and [we know] there will be photos of us.
Tom: And we don't have too much time in our private life, that's why there is very few time left to enjoy and dedicate it to our family and friends.

What is the most credible lie said on the Internet about the band?
Bill: The worst thing that I read was that I commited suicide in a hotel.
Tom: Or that I had infected my pubic hairs...
Georg: (in Spanish) Vello público? (laughs) [English: public hair]

A lof of your fans are interested about your personal situation, your love songs are based in self-experiences? What did you guys already did for love?
Bill: Unfortunatly there is nothing autobiographic in our musics when they are about love (laughs). Love isn't something that interests us, but for is it is really hard to find. We tend to base outselfs on friendship, in what people tell us, we also talk about nostalgia, and in wished to find it [love].
Georg: You can say it for you three, because I already found it... I did a lot of things for love.
Gustav: For love, i invited someone to eat on McDonald's. But by car, of course... (laughs) [this answer is weird o_o]

If Tokio Hotel had been another guys and you some normal boys, would you be fan of them? (Lizzie, 20minutos.es's user)
All: Yes, of course.
Bill: We don't want it to sound pretentious, but we do the music we like and music that we like to hear.

From which song would you guys to a cover? With whom would you guys go up on stage?
Tom: We aren't too much into do covers, but once we had a project...
Bill: I will do a list then I will give it to you (laughs).

What would you say to people who are in the begginning of their carrers to reach the international recognition? (Rita, 20minutos.es's user)
Tom: We send them greetings from here (laughs). The truth is that we had a lot of luck, because we are from a smal city in Germany and there is no discographic company or something like that. We just tryed it in the right moment, in the right place and, of course, perform all around there.
Bill: When we were at school some of our teachers or collegues didn't believed we were already music artists and they didn't believed we did it. Everything we had been through is an afirmation of what it really was. And meet some of them now is really nice...

The band was in Madrid to present their new work to the media.

Tokio Hotel were in Madrid to promote their new album, Humanoid, face to face with the Spanish media. And there, sitted with the guys on a hotel room, there was also los40.com.

About the prodution of their album, they said: "We tryed to create something diferent, that's why we took a "pause" year so we could focus ourselfs in compose and record. this is the first time, since we recorded our first album, that we could take it easy and do the stuff relaxed". However, they say that, in this resty year, they could realized that they can't comeback to theyr normal life, as they knew them: "There is any difference between Tokio Hotel and our private life".

the band also talked about new bands which were inspired in their looks and music, as Cinema Bizarre: "When we started, we send our demos to more than ten discographic companies and all the rejected us. However, while we were becoming famous, each one of them wanted to have their own Tokio Hotel. We wish that bands all the best, and we hope they will find their style according to what they like, and not what the discographic companies wanted them to be".

Another theme that was talked was the supposed competition between fans of the band and Jonas Brothers: "Musicaly, we don't have nothing to do with them neather in terms of atitude, there is no possible competition, that's something media invented. In fact, we met Jonas in some occasion and they seemed really cool guys".

About the videoclips of their song Automatic, that they recorded some while ago, they revealed that all the footage was an adventure: "It was the biggest videpclip we ever did. We had to spent five days in South Africa, dying of cold, with no cellphone and sleeping in little houses".

For the last, the "slutty" note to Bill in the end of the press conference was when he was asked about his new hairstyle: "When it takes to draw my hairdo, i inspire in the pubic hairs of Georg", and Georg answered: "So you will get bald, boy".

Humanoid will be on stores in our country in October 6th.

Tokio Hotel are bringing their fans inside the studio once again with another exclusive, behind-the-scenes clip provided to MTV News. In the video, the pop-rockers are working on Humanoid, due October 6.

Speaking from the Los Angeles studio where they recorded the Scream follow-up, lead singer Bill Kaulitz discusses having to sing in German and English. "They have to do this super complicated thing: change the session ... from German to English," he explained. "Yes, constant switches. I believe no other singer has to remember so many different lyrics like I do. It's only the third album, and I already have 10,000 songs."

Meanwhile, Tom Kaulitz talks about the different dynamics he and brother Bill have in their voices, saying one thing separates them: "I have more sex in my voice," Tom explained. "Actually, the decision [for Bill to be the lead singer] was because of the securities. The securities asked us for it, because if I sing, there would be an escalation at each show. To calm things down, we went with Bill."

Tom also discussed how his brother has to work to remember the songs they are recording for when they hit the road. "He needs to remember everything for the tour. I actually did all of the recordings up to now," he said. "He needs to learn everything for our tour, which is why we rented this studio. We'll check it out, and hopefully he'll manage the upcoming albums without me."

He also talked about the time the guys in the band tried out different roles. "Bill was playing bass, because it's the easiest," Tom recalled. "He only had to play a few tones. Yes, I [played the drums. Drummer Gustav Schäfer], he sang, and [bassist] Georg [Listing] played the guitar. That was wicked. I think we performed [the Scream track] 'Monsoon,' didn't we?

"[Gustav turned it into hardcore metal] to cover [the fact] that he can't sing," Tom continued. "I was perfect. Like a clockwork. But the others messed it up."

The band Tokio Hotel is in Spain for their appearance on the television show El Hormiguero, driven by Pablo Motos. Bill Kaulitz & Co., will come to promote their new job.

Tokio Hotel managed to finish their new job. After many problems along the production process.

Including an unfortunate episode of brutal harassment suffered by a group of harassing fans who came to the point of threatening to kill the group members and their families.

But fortunately, all that is behind, and now only remains to see the dates marked for their new promotional tour. Which will take them around the world to present their new album. Definitely, TH is here again.

Q1: What was the name of your first band?
TH: First name was Black Questionmark. And then Devilish.

Q2: Question mark was only 2 boys right?
TH: Devilish in the beginning, then Georg & Gustav came.

Q3: Now how did you came up with the name Tokio Hotel?
TH: We like big cities so Tokio Hotel sounded cool. Hotel because it's an international name. You understand it in every country.

Q4: So anything exciting that have happened since your last visit at the hotel? It's been bout 1,5 years since your last visit at the hotel I think :)
TH: We had a cool concert in Rome yesterday, and it's one day less to the album-release now :)

Q5: Now is the album out in the US at the same time? Will it be released on the 2nd?
TH: We hope yes - but we believe in America are always a few days after Europe.

The asker: I think I heard US would get it on the 6t. So yeah only like 4 days.
TH: Yes for sure. With exclusive content on iTunes.
Asker: Nice, I love iTunes.

Q6: Now a lot of habbos want to know about US dates?
TH: We are currently planning the tour, but we are quite sure that we will include some dates in the US.

Q7: How was it making the recent album? Any favorite songs?
TH: We have written and produced almost 1 year for this album. It took 1 year - quite a lot of work. Our currently favorite song is Automatic.

Q8: Automatic is the 1st single right?
TH: Yes, it's the first single.

Q9: Now a lot of habbos are wondering if you have any girlfriends?
TH: We're all single accept for Georg.

TH: Yes, we always feel and think the same every second.

TH: No we've never been to Hooters yet. We've had invitations but never made it yet.

TH: It's very iconic.

TH: No we don't believe in ghosts but we hope aliens exist.
Asker: Wow, a lots of mass questions.

TH: Our current favorite live song to perform with is Humanoid - the b-side of our single.

Asker: Still wanting to know what's up with the hair Bill? It's very iconic to you and the band.
TH: Yes, Bill got a new hair cut... (something like 'it's top secret :)' )

TH: Our highlights from 2008 was VMA and our US tour.
TH (about the Hasselhoff question): Georg is still a fan and are longing for a new album soon.

TH: Yes, we could date a fan. Tom is doing it every day.
TH: Being in a tour bus is boring because girls are not allowed in there.
TH: We should stop being a band when someone of us quit.
TH: By the way, we will have our 10th anniversary soon.
TH: NO, no specific plans. we forgot the exact day so we don't know when to celebrate.

Bill: Gustav's hair is dark brown, not black.

Everybody knows them - this is the work of the twins from Tokio Hotel. But they have to protect their family life. Not surprisingly, they hardly visible in private photos mother Simone, and her famous sons.

BILD DER FRAU: The fans had to wait two years for the new Tokio Hotel CD - did you need a little break?
TOM: Not really! Mostly we worked.
BILL: But during the production of the new CD, we tried to disappear from the public scene a little bit.

BILD DER FRAU: Success and lot of termins the band have. Have you got any private life?
BILL: Absolutely not. Go to eat an icecream with the family - you can't do. The only moment when we are alone, is in the car.

BILD DER FRAU: It's sounds sad. You would like to be like another twenties, went out with friends, find a girlfriend...
TOM: Honestly, I can not really imagine that to be together with another person for so long. I could never imagine that I live together with a woman.
BILL: I do.

BILD DER FRAU: And why not, Tom?
TOM: I think, you quickly get used to each other, and the relationship become boring.
BILL: When I will be in love, I will do my bags and I am going to live in another place.
TOM: Forget it Bill, we will live together for the rest of our lifes. We could never break away from each other.
BILL: Yes, but in this case, we need a sliding door into the middle of the flat. On one side, I will live with my girlfriend, and on the other side, there you will live.

BILD DER FRAU: Bill, at this moment are you in love?
BILL: No, but I want to be. But this is probably the last thing which could happen in my life now.

BILD DER FRAU: If you could crave a woman, how would she look like?
TOM: The classic dream woman doesn't exist. But in any case she must have beautiful eyes.
BILL: I want to look directly into her eyes and her soul. I need to know and feel that she would never betray me or disappoint.
TOM: When you have this feeling that you knew her for a long time, even if you had just met her.

BILD DER FRAU: Sense of confidence as in your mother, Simone - she is the most important woman in your life?
BILL: Yes, exactly. Sometimes it is difficult for us to trust new people, but we just know about our mother that, we can trust her 100%.

BILD DER FRAU: How is the relationship between you?
TOM: Everything between us is really honest and friendly, we blindly trust our mother! Without her we would never survived lot of situations, she is our protective shield!

BILD DER FRAU: Your mother married with her partner.
BILL: Great, not? This is her first marriage, with our father, she wasn't married.

BILD DER FRAU: Do you think that it is romantic, that they got married after twelve years now?
BILL: Absolutely! I'm incredibly happy for my mum. Our step-father took us into the music, we grew up with him, and it is really, really great.

BILD DER FRAU: And what is your opinion about marriage? Would you like to get married on one day?
TOM: I think wedding are really beautiful. But honestly, I can not imagine that I ever did it.
BILL: I have always said that I will not marry. But now I'm not so sure. When I really in love, then anything is possible. If I meet with my soul mate, then maybe I want to marry her.

BILD DER FRAU: And do you want to be fathers?
BILL: I don't know...
TOM: I'm already (father) of my dogs.
BILL: Actually, me too. Maybe later we will have a dog farm with hundreds of dog, who run in the garden. And dogs are like our children...

Bill: Each one of us has a personal connection with a certain song. That’s why there isn’t just a source, but many of them.

Bill: Yes, but we couldn’t make any new friends. We don’t have enough time.

Which kind of girl do you like?
Bill: Every girl!

Have you ever fought for a girl?
Bill: No. It never happened. No girl can come between us.

TH: There is an obstacle every day – we just need to stay together. Without Tom we wouldn’t be where we are now.

Bill: It was just me and Tom. We were at a wedding. We were really nervous.

Tokio Hotel: Because German will always be a part of us.

Question 2: Bill, why are all the Songs on the Album so sad?
Tokio Hotel: Not all ofthe Songs are sad, you don’t even know all of them.

Question 3: One of the Habbo’s read in BRAVO that you’ll move to Hollywood. Is this true?
Tokio Hotel: No, it’s not true.

Question 4: Bill, did you already do your parachute jump?
Bill: No – unfortunately not, but I really want to do it.

Question 5: How did you get the idea for “Automatisch” and who had it?
Tokio Hotel: Bill had the idea in the car. After that we drove directly to the studio and recorded the song.

Question 6: Will there be a Tour? A lot of the Habbo’s would love to see you live.
Tokio Hotel: Yes, there will be a big Tour at the beginning of 2010.

Question 7: Did your relationship change with all the fame?
Tokio Hotel: Yes, Georg is no longer exclusively in love with Tom ;)

Question 8: You are a Band which polarizes, how do you handle all the critique? Does it strain you sometimes?
Tokio Hotel: We laugh about it…just don’t let it affect you.

Question 9: Did something ever go really wrong on stage?
Tokio Hotel: Bill has once hewn out a corner of his tooth with the microphone.

Question 10: Gustav, why did you decide to wear glasses instead of contact lenses?
Tokio Hotel: Gustav never wore contact lenses, he thinks the glasses suit him.

Question 11: In which language did you record the songs from the new Album first – German or English?
Tokio Hotel: It was different every time, we always wrote both versions of the Songs parallel.

Question 12: Which is your favorite Song on the new Album? Do you like different ones?
All: Automatic/Automatisch.

Question 13: Do you have musical role models?
Tokio Hotel: No, we never had musical role models. In private all of us listen to different music.

Question 14: Do you have the feeling that you changed musically with the new Album?
Tokio Hotel: Yes, we had some new influences, but you can still hear that it’s Toko Hotel.

Question 15: Will you come to Austria? Greece?
Tokio Hotel: We’re currently planning – but Austria is on the list. We’re in Greece on October 9 and we’re really looking forward to being there.

Question 16: Georg, do you plan on playing whithout a shirt at the new Tour?
Georg: No, more likely without clothes down there…

Question 17: Which are your favorite Bands except of yourself?
Tokio Hotel: Black Questionmark and Devilish.

Question 18: How did you come up with the idea of the “Automatisch” Video?
Tokio Hotel: We immediately had the feeling that something with cars will fit and we especially didn’t want to hire some actors for the video, that’s why we came up with the idea of the Roboters.

On the 7th, 9th and 12th of october Tokio Hotel will play virtually at the Media Markt establishments in Leeuwarden, Rotterdam and Amsterdam. They will show unique 3D holographic concerts with the band being projected virtually on a huge stage.
It will look like the band will be there live. This never happend in Europe before. The show will be around 25 minutes of the recordings they recenly did with special technics in London. The band will play songs from their brandnew album, Humanoid, which will be released at the 2nd of october. The concerts will start at 17.30 and are accessible for free.

Other Screening Dates:
- 16.10.2009 – Barcelona, Spain
- 19.10.2009 – Madrid, Spain

The fourth edition of the Concert for Tolerance will be on 17th October on the beach of Agradir (...). This event will be organized and sponsored with the foreign with the media of Morocco (M6 and 2M) (...). The Concert for Tolerance is a free concert that gives the public the opportunity to watch an unique show that brings big names from France and from the international music (...).

Many artists from various nationalities will participate in the show, including Diam's, Bob Sinclar, Leona Lewis, Tokio Hotel, Hayfa Wahbi, Marc Lavoine Florent Pagny, Natalie Imbruglia, Renan Luce, Faudel and many others. This concert will be broadcast in major national and international media as 2M, M6, M6 Music Hits, RTL, TV5 Monde and W9 (...)

Universal Music Spain was informed that the signing session on September 28th was canceled. The Fnac store which would hold the session already confirmed it as well. It is said that it was canceled due to security reasons (but in some other sites it is also said that one reason was also the lack of organization).
An information that is going on is that they will try it to be elsewhere, but it is very unlikely because the session is already in two days.

From the Magdeburger Backyard to a world tour.

Magdeburg. 2001 the four 12-14 year old Boys spent their time with playing their instruments in a backyard in Magdeburg-Sudenburg. They called themselves “Devilish”. Tom, Bill, Gustav and Georg are now Millionaires. Eight years after Sudenburg “Tokio Hotel” are now global stars.

Actually it’s a joke in the history of Rock: But at the moment two “East-Bands” compete for the title of germanys biggest Rockexport of all time. At the same time these two Bands couldn’t be more different when it comes to their target audience.

The Metalrocker from “Rammstein” are releasing, after a 2-year break, on October 16th their sixth Album “Liebe ist für alle da”. The Musicians are from Schwerin, Chemnitz and Berlin and played in GDR-Punkpands like “The Inchtabokatables” and “Feeling B”. The four – much younger – musicians from “Tokio Hotel”, born between 1987 and 1989, grew up – musically – in the time of Reunification-Magdeburg. Their 3rd Album “Humanoid” will be released – also after a 2-year break – next week on October 2nd.

Two Bands fighting for Place #1
What do the “bad boys” from “Rammstein” have in common with “Tokio Hotel”, the Teen-Swarms, except of the same roots? A lot. In the past it was the success: “Rammstein” already sold 12 Million Records, “Tokio Hotel” 5 million. Currently both are fighting for the 1st place in the german Single Charts. A week ago – September 18 – the first single from their new Albums were released: “Pussy” from “Rammstein” and “Automatisch” from “Tokio Hotel”.

And this all around the world. “Rammstein” is singing “Pussy” in a German-English-Mix. The not so family-safe Lyrics are about fast love with easy women. “Automatisch” is about disappointment of a false love. Thus “Tokio Hotel” can still be marketed worldwide, the new Album “Humanoid” was recorded in two languages. So the english Single “Automatic” is being played at the Radio Stations in Barcelona, Rio de Janeiro or Dallas and “Automatisch” in the german-speaking parts of Europe.

And the current placement? International “Pussy” and “Automatisch/Automatic” will appear in the different national Hitlists ten days after release – thus in the following week. For those Lists the sales of the records and the music-sales in the Internet download portals are considered equally.

In Germany “Media Control” publishes, besides the weekly charts, also the so-called Daily-Trends. Those are daily sale-statements with a two-day delay. “Rammstein” ranked on place #1 on September 18 in the Daily-Trends, “Tokio Hotel” ranked, on the same day, on #2. As of yesterday “Tokio Hotel” slipped on place #9, while “Pussy” is still the most sold Single in Germany.

Is the alarm going off at Universal Music, the record label of “Tokio Hotel”? Melanie Fürste, the press-responsible of the Band waves it aside. She says: “A lot of the younger Fans don’t buy the Single, because they’re waiting for the Album”. Sascha Wernicke, Music Editor and “Tokio Hotel”-Expert at the youth magazine “Bravo” mentions another reason: “Teenager don’t have credit cards. That’s why they buy their music less from download portals in the internet, like other people do.”

In fact in the Hitlist of the most downloaded Singles at Musicload.de “Automatisch” was yesterday on place #61 of the Top 100 ("Pussy" on #36). At iTunes “Automatisch” climbed, in the last two days, from place #57 on #45 (”Pussy” on #8).

Perhaps the restraint of the younger fans is also there because of the new Sound of “Tokio Hotel”? The Bravo-Editor Sascha Wernicke describes the new Album as “More grown-up. But it doesn’t have to be a bad thing. The Fans from 2005 are now also 4-years older.”

Indeed: “Humanoid” from “Tokio Hotel” absulutely doesn’t sound – pardon – like Teen-Pop, but more like an Album of a grown-up Metal-Band. By the way: Both Bands recorded and produced their new Albums independently in California. Perhaps that’s why.

Certainly that’s why the new english Songs from “Tokio Hotel” are much catchier than the german Versions. It sounds cooler when Bill Kaulitz doesn’t have to sing about a “Sonn-Nen-Sys-Tem” (engl.: Solar System) but instead about the “Dark Side of the Sun”.

Volksstimme would have liked to talk with the boys from Magdeburg about their new Album. Sarah Osterman – responsible of the international press of “Tokio Hotel” at Universal Music – knows the Calendar of the Band: Tomorrow on Saturday “Tokio Hotel” has an appearance at a MTV Event in Rome. “Then they’ll be in France, Stockholm, Helsinki and then they’re going back to Italy and Spain. On October 9 there’s another MTV-Concert in Greece and then the Dates for the US will follow.” Interviews for Newspapers, Guest-appearances in TV-Shows and at Radio Stations. In between one or two “spontaneous” Concerts. The PR-Machine is running.

A Flat in Hollywood
“Bravo”-Editor Sascha Wernicke is a part of the few Journalists who recently got to schedule an Interview-Date with “Tokio Hotel”. On Wednesday “Bravo” published a story, which says that the twin brothers Bill and Tom Kaulitz want to look for a flat in Hollywood. Both of them are living in Hamburg.

Is “Tokio Hotel” still a Band from Magdeburg? Wernicke: “Gustav and Georg are still living in Magdeburg and they also want to stay there, they assured me in the Interview.” Georg has a girlfriend since 6 months, which he got to know in Magdeburg. “She wants to stay out of the public eye a lot more than him”, the “Bravo”-Editor says.

But the attack was certainly not about a Girl which “Rammstein” are currently successfullly singing about. The new Sound may sound heavy and grown up, but “Pussys” don’t fit in with the “Clean-Image” of “Tokio Hotel”.

Tokio Hotel's much-anticipated Humanoid album doesn't hit stores until October 6, and the guys know the wait is killing their fans, which is why they've given MTV News a bit of exclusive content to share with everyone.

We've already partnered with the band to preview their first single, "Automatic," and to give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the song's epic video too. And now, we're taking you inside the Los Angeles studio where Tokio Hotel recorded Humanoid.

In the never-before-seen footage, frontman Bill Kaulitz shows off his vocal recording room (which is decidedly sparse) and his high-tech vocal mixer, which, as he explains "doesn't exist in Germany ... which is why we're producing in L.A." He also describes his recording technique, which could be summed up in one word: "loud" (or "Spinal Tap," but that's two words).

"Most people use regular 'headphone volume,' but I can't stand it. I need to feel like I'm onstage and I'm standing beside the other guys," he explains, cranking the volume knob on his mixer up to 11. "I kind of need an extra amplifier, so I can listen to everything really loud. ... You can do crazy things with it. You can't get this in Germany." We also get to see guitarist Tom Kaulitz show off a skill most fans didn't know he had: playing the piano. Though, of course, given that it's Tom, while he's tickling the ivories, his main focus has shifted elsewhere ... to naked ladies.

"That's the most exciting of all," he tells a producer about something off-camera. "When she's standing completely naked in front of the thing. Did you also see that?" "You need to listen to the riff. You're playing this love ballad," the producer interrupts, before deciding that this ship has already sailed. "You mean the one with the sweet butt, when she's standing in front of the mirror?"

And it happened: Actually Bill Kaulitz wanted to surprise his Fans at their already longingly awaited appearance at “Wetten dass ..?” on October 3rd. But now Paparazzi caught him in Hamburg. The singer of the Band “Tokio Hotel” looks like a mix between David Bowie in “Labyrinth” and Sonic the Hedgehog from the “Game-Gear”-Game which was released in the 90’s. Also his twin-brother Tom is rumoured to have a new, fresher look, but he still hides his hair under a cloth.

At “Wetten Dass…?” Bill, Tom, Gustav and Georg will present their new Single “Automatisch”. For the Video “Tokio Hotel” also flew to America.

And welcome to the 20.1 version of Forever Sacred! This new layout is way darker than the previous one, even though it has some pretty colorful points too, and that's exactly what I wanted! As you can see, it features only Bill & Tom at the Humanoid promoshoot and it has the same title as the other version because I think it belongs to the same theme..Humanoid!
I really enjoyed the old layout (actually I think it was my favorite one..), but it was online for more than 1 month already so I felt like I needed a change. Twin brothers Bill and Tom Kaulitz from the band Tokio Hotel have been among Germany’s most successful musicians for years. During the interview they talk about their missing personal life, their new single and Angela Merkel.

Two and half years have passed since your last record. Did the break do you well?
Bill: We actually didn’t have a holiday, [we] toured through North America and tweaked the album for almost a year. However, we deliberately tried to keep a low profile for a bit over here.

How come?
Bill: In the end I couldn’t see my own mug and hear my own name anymore. I thought “Please people, just write about someone else”. I wanted some peace and quiet and concentrate on making music.

What is actually still left of your personal life?
Bill: Nothing.

Oh, is that really so?
Bill: It’s like that. We don’t have a personal life in that sense. To just go for an ice-cream with the family – that’s not possible. The only moment of the day when we’re on our own is in the car. That’s why we wanted to get our driver’s licences so bad. [To have] Our own car is the last piece of freedom that’s left for us.

That sounds a little sad though, along the lines of “We’re ourselves in the car only”.
Bill: Yes, that’s what it’s [like] though. It only really became clear to us that we’ve given up everything this year while we weren’t on tour but only in the studio. However, despite that we’d always make the same decision again. Both just isn’t possible at the level we’re at now. One has to accept that. One also gets a lot in return. Sometimes I’m standing in the studio, singing and thinking “Awesome, and you even get paid for that”. I’m totally happy about that. I don’t have to do anything I don’t feel like doing.

How do you spend your time off?
Bill: Actually working. We always have to laugh when we read “The machinery of Tokio Hotel”. All of that is bullshit. We’ve got our team, but Tom and I do everything ourselves basically. The people that are our tools in a way were put together by us. However, it’s our band. Tom and I founded Tokio Hotel and I don’t want to leave decisions about the band to anyone else.

The new single is called “Automatic“. What is the song about?
Bill: This word really gets used constantly, thousands of things in life happen automatically. Except for love. That mustn’t be automatic.

Whereas many relationships only run on autopilot as well.
Tom: Yes. I can’t imagine being together with one person for so long. I’ve got an issue with long relationships anyway and I think it’s extremely important that one stays interesting for the other one and to also always find the other person interesting. I couldn’t ever imagine [settling down and] living with one woman.

Really not?
Bill: I could. If I’m in love, I don’t care about anything. Then I’ll pack my bag and move in somewhere else immediately.
Tom: Forget it, Bill. We’ll live together for the rest of our lives.
Bill: Yes, but then we’ll have to build a sliding door in the middle of the apartment. I’ll live with my girlfriend on one side and you’ll live on the other.

So you’re sharing a house?
Bill: Yes. I couldn’t imagine it ever being any other way. We could never separate. Each one of us has got their own bathroom and bedroom but other than that we’re together all day long.<+> Bill, are you in love at the moment?
Bill: No, even though I very much wish to be. I feel really awkward to always have to give the same answer. However, there isn’t anyone at the moment. I’d really like to be in love. However, it’s probably the last thing that will happen in my life.

Why do you believe that?
Bill: Many people put on an act for me when they meet me. Then they just rattle off words like a script. However, I can’t expect people to seriously get involved with me. Whenever I go anywhere they see Bill Kaulitz. Most of them immediately have dollar signs in their eyes and want to offer something to me, along the lines of “I’m a fashion designer, would you wear my shirt once?”. That’s so disgusting!
Tom: We haven’t made one new friend over the past four years. Firstly, one can’t trust people as quickly anymore, secondly, everything is always so cursory and quick that one mostly stays on the surface.
Bill: It’s very rare that I get to meet normal people. It’s great when I meet someone who lived in the mountains without a TV for ten years and says “Tokio Hotel? Never heard of it”. Then I always think “Yes! Thanks“.

Bill, many girls probably also think that you aren’t interested in them but in guys. Is that annoying?
Bill: Nah, it’s not annoying. That’s already been with me my whole life long anyway. It also wasn’t any different even back in school.
Tom: While girls rarely thought that Bill is gay – he was never short of offers – it was more like the guys thinking he’s gay.
Bill: And many guys felt dissed when I got a woman and they didn’t. Because I’d be just so effeminate. That has always been a big problem.

Would men stand a chance with you?
Bill: Nah, I’m committed to women. I’ve never had anything with guys, I’ve never gathered any experiences with men…

…and you also don’t want to catch up with that?
Bill: Well, so far I haven’t discovered an interest in that direction. *laughs*

By now you’re also very successful in the USA. Are you being perceived differently there than in Germany?
Bill: Yes, abroad the music came first followed by all the other matters. In Germany it was the other way around. We’re a tabloid matter there. Elsewhere people also go on about the singer of Tokio Hotel looking like a faggot, but they listen to our songs first at least.

Are you worried that it might not run as smoothly some day?
Bill: Hmm. No matter what happens, we’ve hung on for a really long time and proved a lot. Many saw us as a One Hit Wonder back in the day and they were wrong. However, I also think there are ups and downs. There have been moments when it went down a bit. It’s possible that “Humanoid” doesn’t work out as a record now but in that case one just makes the next one. I wouldn’t give up so easily.

What are you doing with all that money?
Bill: He who wants to get really rich has to become a football player or racing driver. They’re making real dosh. There’s lots of exaggeration in the music business. Speculations about how much we’re apparently earning are pretty wild. I only get a tiny fraction of the 30 Euros that a concert ticket costs. After all we’ve also got expenses. We’ve just shot a video in South Africa that we’re financing ourselves for example. We’re also paying all of our team. Our expenses are extreme.
Tom: Bill and I haven’t bought a house, no property and no yacht yet. We live in rented accommodation.

Soon there will be the first Bundestag election. Are you interested in politics?
Bill: We’re interested to the usual extent, I’d say. We don’t get to follow it exceedingly; we’re not indifferent toward politics though.

Do you like Angela Merkel?
Bill: I don’t want to influence people too much but yes, I think Angela Merkel is good. So far she’s doing really well. Unlike others she’s also extremely likeable. She comes across like a caring mum.

Aufmerksamkeit, Tokio Hotel fans! Bill Kaulitz has new hair! Again! It’s as if he and Rihanna in some kind of tacit competition to see who can change their hair with more frequency! And while I know some photos of Bill’s new fauxhawk are floating around out there, Buzzworthy isn’t in the habit of pilfering photos of our favorite Cherry Tree bands, so I dreamed up my own version of what Bill Kaulitz would look like with Rihanna’s pseudo-fauxhawk. (I made it on Daily Makeover. Don’t laugh! I paid four bucks for it!!)

Pretty hawt, no? At least it’s hotter than Drew Barrymore’s new two-tone hair. And somehow — just SOMEHOW — I bet Bill manages to pull off the fauxhawk even better than Blake Lewis does.

A little background on the track: Producer David Jost tells us: “Bill and Tom had the initial ideas for ‘NOISE.’ They roughly captured their ideas in their home studio in Germany and then sent them over to me and my partners in LA. A few days later Bill stood in front of the mic in our old recording studio in Hamburg. We could see him on a big screen in our LA studio, while we recorded him in real time.”

Adds Bill Kaulitz (pictured): “Two weeks later, Tom and I took a flight to LA, where we all finished the track together. When the song was done Tom was so pumped! Actually, the track almost became our first single.”

Tokio Hotel are really going fast. The new songs aren’t here yet, but Bill and Tom already have big plans!

What a big shock for all TH-fans: Finally the boys celebrate their comeback in Germany, but they already want to leave their hometown! Crazy!
At the 3rd of October Front man Bill [20], Guitarist Tom [20], Drummer Gustav [21] and Bassist Georg [22] the boys will rock the stage at the TV-Show “Wetten Dass..?”.
But, after their big performance, Bill and Tom want to fulfil their dream: Leave Hamburg and move to California.
Singer Bill explains in Bravo-interview “We want to go to Hollywood.”

The boys recorded their new album “Humanoid” in LA, but they also want to live there.
Bill: We feel great in LA. This city has amazing energy that I want to absorbe.
I would love to have a home in Hollywood. Also the parties and being close to the celebrities have influences in this: “For example, we met Jay-z. Wven though he is a huge star, he was very nice and relaxed".
They have also seen the famousness of miley but they aren’t friends with her.
"But we always meet her somewhere when we are in Los Angeles" says Tom. That’s exactly the thing that the twins love about LA : They are not known as well as in Hamburg, or Magdeburg. Everyone knows them there and there’s always someone following them. They can be more free in Hollywood – because the other stars are more popular. Inclusive Paparazzi, Fan-Hype, Groupies : Tom has enough One-Night-Stands and flirts. The heartbreaker wants for the first time in his life a normal relationship : "I think really differently about love now. I’d be really glad if I would fall in love." Love, Party and Celebrities – Three good reasons for moving to LA. But the German Fans don’t have to be nervous now. Bill explains : "Germany is and always will be our home. In the future, we’ll still be trying to be in our homeland as often as possible." Well, at least a little hope for the fans...

Looks: With these identical twins [20] it’s easier to hold them apart from eachother: Bill loves spectacular outfits and hair styles, Tom dresses in Hip-Hop style.
Succes: from 2005 on, they are really big in Europe with selling more than 5 million CD’s.

Screamings: Till now always MEGA. But will it stay like that after the comeback?

In our second exclusive preview clip from Tokio Hotel’s Humanoid (due October 6th), the German pop-rockers turn introspective with the wistful ballad “World Behind My Wall.” As singer Bill Kaulitz — who fronts the band with his twin, Tom — explained when we premiered an excerpt of the more metallic-sounding title track, Tokio Hotel’s second English-language album has “many different parts and melodies.” (Hear the clip after the jump.)

As Rolling Stone also reported, the brothers Kraulitz co-produced much of Humanoid with previous Tokio Hotel producer David Jost, who says Bill and Tom came in with “a very clear” vision of each song’s sound. The lyrics and music for “World Behind My Wall” are at the same time yearning and determined, a combination Jost says was entirely Bill’s intention: “Bill came up with the idea that you need to be ready to get hurt, ready to feel. It’s about dropping all your protective shields to feel something pure and overwhelming — it’s about entering the here and now.”

“Sometimes you have the feeling that there are so many beautiful things out there that you can not see for whatever reason,” Bill says of the track, which showcases Humanoid’s softer side. “It takes courage to break down the walls that keep you away from really living your life.”

With just a few weeks left until Humanoid hits stores, Tokio Hotel are also celebrating their third straight year of being nominated for an MTV Europe Music Award, this year for Best Group, and are gearing up for a performance at the November 5th festivities.

Germany's most famous rock twins Bill (20) and Tom Kaulitz (20) sit in the back of a limousine, recording of a video in which they speak evil without mercy of a band. Listen very closely. Both know that is his band, "Tokio Hotel"!

It's complicated, but they are even talking about themselves. All this is just a joke, how can we fix the laughter of Bill and Tom at the end of the video.

A friend filmed the guys in this private moment in a car. These guys have a great sense of humor. By the way:

There will be a surprise at MTV Europe Music Awards. BILD got to know: one of the top-acts will be the teen's idols, Tokio Hotel, who will perform live on 5th November, in O2 Arena Berlin.

For the magdeburger rockers it will be a special night: they nominated as "Best Group of the Year" at the MTV Awards.

From their new album, "Humanoid" (from 2nd october in the stores), they have already appeared their first single "Automatisch". Bill, Tom, Gustav, and Georg shooted a video in the desert landscape of South-Africa.

They fueled with cool cars by the region that appears in the video, almost unreal. However, the band was shivering in spite of long pants quite a bit.

Unbelievable! For the third year in a row we’re nominated at the MTV EMAs – this year as “Best Group”. When I’m looking at our opponents, this will certainly be a pretty tough fight....there are some big names. From today on you can let MTV know who you’d like to win so ROCK THE VOTE ;-]

Translation:
Q: Is a new album synonym of stress for you?
Bill: We feel less pressure now because it's our 4th album, and so we have nothing more to prove. This album is released in many countries at the same time. There are two versions, an English one, a German one. It's both very exciting and stressful for us because it's the first time. But we try to relax and focus on our first goal, which is to make good music and that people keep enjoying what we're doing.

Q: The desire of a musical change?
Bill: For this album, we wanted to produce something different and evolve musically. We performed the same songs for one year and it's true that even we were bored to hear and interpret them. We had to move on. We wanted a different sound from the eternal guitar-bass-drums. So we tried lots of different things. But what's really new in this album is that Tom and I co-produced it.
Tom: We went to the studio and we tried new things, original sounds for us. There has not been some precise influences. We wanted to make a new album and it's true that the sound is different. But it still is TH.

Q: Was this album inspired by science fiction?
Bill: To be honest, we're not science fiction fans. We simply thought that the word "humanoid" fitted us and that it described quite well our lives and what we are. So, we had chosen this title for the album before we even started to write the songs.

Bill: Success is not something you get used to. Sure we're really happy to see our fans waiting for us outside. We worked hard and for quite a long time on this album. And when we arrived, two days ago, we were delighted to see that our fans were there in front of the hotel. (not true apparently, according to Fifi)

Mina (TH fan): I think I would need to write a book to describe all I like about them. They are real I think they are... That's a band that wasn't casted, they knew each others for a long time as kids and who realized a dream together without expecting it. They're real, the fact that they're my age, what they sing and say fits with a certain period of my life... They evolved like I did in fact. So after a while, it's sentimental, we get attached, and it's a little like our favorite (ndlt: chouchou in French, hard to translate).

Bill: Fans are really important for us in every country. They always have something special. But it's true that apart from Germany, we played most of our shows in France.
Tom: French fans always welcome us greatly.

Bill: They are here right when we arrive and it's true that they have always supported us.

In the MSN-Interview they talked about their life in the spotlight.

Fame has its dark sides. Firsthand the guys from Tokio Hotel had to learn this, after their meteoric rise in 2005.At the beginning of this year a group of female stalkers was literally hunting the Magdeburg band. That they will never be again the homely guys from next door, Bill (20) Tom (20), George (22) and Gustav (20) had resigned to the fact….but they still demand for justice. “We hope those people will undergo a real punishment for that,” claimed frontman Bill Kaulitz in MSN STAR LOUNGE interview.

This year in april, the Stalker-stress should have been the backdrop for an incident at a gas station in Hamburg, where Bill’s Twin Brother Tom Kaulitz had clashed with a young woman. The situation there escalated a short time later, because a family member of the Kaulitz twins was before physically attacked. In response, the band filed charges against their chasers, also in April 2009.

In an interview with STAR LOUNGE Bill remembers the “blatant time.” “The worst thing for us was , that it was our private life … or should I better say , we have almost no privacy … that was really the worst, that it comes to our families and friends … We can deal with this very good. . We have decided to live a public life… but we wanted to protect our families and friends," said Bill.

The chances are good that the perpetrators will be punished for their behavior, Stalking (obsessive pursuit) is a criminal offense. In Germany for that you cope with 3 years in prison . Nevertheless, the boys expect that they will be always some kind of exaggerated fan love.

“I think, this could happen over and over again. You are never be safe . But of course we just try to keep going. For sure..,you never bounce back because of this…But these things are truely ugly.. and it could happen again and again.I think, this is something you have to deal with, if you are successful…" further Bill said.

German’s most popular band Tokio Hotel spent a year writing new song material for the album.

“Humanoid” is loud and hard.

Guitarist Tom Kaulitz said: “It’s probably not the song that the record company would have chosen as a single, but we’re looking forward to playing the track live.”

Singer and Frontman Bill Kaulitz said: "We wrote the song “Humanoid” pretty much at the end of producing the album. We only got the idea after titling the album “Humanoid”.

It sounds like the four band members really had to let off steam!

We haven't heard about them for a long time, but now Bill and Tom from Tokio Hotel open up to Mädchen...
We talked with them about everythinkg, that's important to them: their dogs, the real home, finding of the big love and their music...

Nearly one year, Tokio Hotel wasn't with us. What happened? The superstars were in the USA and worked diligently on their third album, "Humanoid", which realase on 2th October. During the interview, the guys were really cool, they spoke a lot, mainly at the same time. They related us what they experienced/how they live(?), and what they did.

TRAVEL, REAL HOME & ANIMAL LOVE
TOM: Due to the album, we were in Miami and L.A. but also mostly we were in Germany. We love to be at home, sleep in our beds, and play a lot with our dogs. We saved four of them from a shelter.
BILL: To leave Germany - I couldn't. Here, we grew up, here are our roots. Being on abroad, always a strange feeling. But of course, we love to go on holiday there [to abroad]. For example, we have already been in the Maldives four times.

STALKERS AND WORST FEARS
TOM: The last year has shaped us. We wanted to retire from the public after two years, but it didn't work due to the stalker story (Editor's Note: Four girls followed the band for half a year, until the situation escalated.)
BILL: These incidents show how many sick people are, who needs help. Actually, we haven't got privacy/private life.

WHAT ABOUT YOUR SINGLE, "AUTOMATISCH" (REALASE: 18.09.)
BILL: You make automatically many things in everyday. In love relationships, this kind of routing could be fatal, due to the loss of spontaneity. Yes, it affects us, because we both are singles for a long while.

FLIRT AND DEEPEST DESIRES
Both: Oh yes, both of us really like flirts. (laugh)
BILL: For me, eyes are really, really important. When I fall in love with a girl, firtly I love her eyes. (this sentence not perfect) You able to look into her soul deeply, and you have the feeling, you would have known each other for a very long time.
TOM: I have alreay met many amazing girls, but a certain girltyp? No. Blonde or brown, I can't decide.
BILL: I haven't got a stable relationship since years. I know it sounds sad, but the this is the biggest thing that I want. I want a girlfriend, who follows on the road with me.

MONEY AND THE BIG LOVE
BILL: Money is important, but not means all. For the love of my life, I would forego about money and clothes. No problem - I don't need too much.

"My production partners and I met and heard Bill for the first time when he was 13. Even before he touched the mic he was screaming at us with his eyes. When the band came by for their first visit in our Hamburg recording studio they played their demos to us, which they had recorded all on their own, in their rehearsal room in Magdeburg (East Germany). While the demos were playing, he thrust a big old book into my hands, in which he had written down a lot of his lyrics. His expression wasn't only reflected by what he had written or said, but also by what he is. Bill was only this 13-year-old boy, but he already carried big emotional extremes and this huge melancholy with him. Regardless of all that he was very determined. He wanted to get out of there so badly, and Bill didn’t want to be part of anything which made him very distinct."

How cute! Four little boys are playing with Instruments that are way too big for them: What looks in 2002 like a music lesson at school is in reality the beginning of a great career! Woah: Bill and Tom are just 13, Gustav 14 and Georg 15 years old, when they take their first Steps towards “world fame”! Back then the young Rockers called themselves ‘Devilish’, but shortly after that they changed their name to ‘Schrei’.

Funny: Already at the age of 13 the Twins had their characteristic Look, with which they got famous in 2005. Bill with his fuzzy Manga hair and Tom with his Dreadlocks. Seven years later the four Boys from Magdeburg are Germanys biggest Rockband, which has its big comeback this week – with their Single ‘Automatisch’ [Release: 18. September]!

Jussi: I was thinking, in the last few years you have been traveling a lot around the world and act as a band. Have you ever felt the lack of your normal life, like going to school, hanging out with friends.
Bill: Well, I do not feel like really missing school. Fortunately that time is already past and was perhaps the worst time of my life. Yes, but of course I really miss that normal teenage life. Tom and I were already very early with 15 years of age, already had "lived" more than others with the same age. But of course we miss our normal life. We had to leave much behind. Hello everybody! As you may be seen, the group began to be increasingly in the press. After Parisien earlier this month, France Soir was done one interview with the group last Monday (September 7), the new Dream Up goes out with Bill in Headlines, etc..

The group will be in Paris again in October to perform a particular series of TV shows.

German as the first language, English as the second language...Tokio Hotel have conquered the entire planet with their tubes pop-rock, their universal lyrics, and their so particular look. For the release of their new album, "Humanoid", we've interviewed them (for the third time !)...More comfortable, more serene, more run in, Tokio Hotel are not impressed...by their fans, still down from their hotel, faithful to the posts...Bill mentioned this very special relationship with the public, the daily routine of the group, and we made some pretty revelations! Ados.fr: What does the single "Automatic" talk about?
Bill: Actually, the song is about a girl who has no real feelings, who never felt love and pretend!

Ados.fr: It already happened to you?
Bill: In recent years, not really, because I have not been in a relationship, but it's true that we often meet people who pretend, or do not feel real feelings.

Ados.fr: You prefer to sing in German or English?
Bill: I do not really have a preference ... The German and English are really part of us now, and what is good is that our fans can choose which version they prefer.

Ados.fr: This particular infatuation if your fans, do you understand?
Bill: I don't know if it is understood, but in any case, it makes us happy. It is true that there are fans that are totally unique, and I could understand if other groups were jealous of us and our fans! I think we really have the best audience there is! They are full of energy, are full of noise, they are present, we love it! Besides, one can see here, outside, they are all there. We are super happy.

Ados.fr: How do you see yourself in ten years?
Bill: Actually, that's almost ten years now we are together and I think we will always music. Of course we will continue, the music will always be part of our lives, and even if people are listening more, I think we will always music. Even if everyone does things at hand, it is possible that we make a break ... I think that in ten years, there will always be there to make music.

Ados.fr: A dream collaboration?
Bill: Uh ... I'd like to working with Aerosmith, I'd really enjoy being on stage with them!
Tom: Jessica Alba ... but she doesn't sing!
Georg: But I'm sure she is talented!

Ados.fr: A message to your French fans?
Bill: Yes, we would really like to say a big thank you! It's nice to support us and greet us like that! I think we have beautiful moments together with this new album!

It was kind of like spy movie - the twins Bill and Tom were brought to the "Flamingo Royal" club in accompanied by girls.

Here they met with their famous friend Oli Pocher (he came alone). Then they all went to luxury dicso "Nachtflug".

Here there were extra VIP rooms prepared for them and also the top balcony. Here Bill (who wore sunglasses the whole time) and Tom partied untill 6:00 in the morning. Well, that's the rock star life!

DU: What were you up to during this long absence?
Tom: Until the end of last year, we were touring here and there in the world. After that we came back in Germany to prepare this fourth album in the studio.Everything went very fast even if the public feels like they waited for us for so long.

DU: Did you get the chance to go on vacation this summer?
Georg: Unfortunately no. Since the release of our first album Schrei (So laut du kannst) in June 2006, we had little rest. Between the promotion, the Tours, and the recording in studios, the planning is quite full since three years now.
Bill: We spend our time travelling, so when we havea break of one or two days we go back in Germany to those who are close to us. It’s in Magdeburg, a tiny village where we grew up that we recharge our batteries.

DU: Aren’t you afraid that certain fans took their distance from you?
Bill: We aren’t afraid of anything. Tokio Hotel fans are always present and many are still following us today. It’s for that public that we were absent for so long, so that we could offer them worthy of their support.
Georg: On the other hand, we cannot force people to like us. If our new album seduces the public, everything’s going to be fine…

DU: In which state of mind are you carrying the release of this fourth opus, Humanoid?
Tom: The pressure is the same as the previous albums.It was always stressing to release a new disc.We ar torn between the fear of deceiving and the irrepressible urge to seduce.
Bill: And to make it worse, the media took hold of the news. Everywhere, people talk about the release of this new album like it was a big event. Now,more than ever , people are waiting for us around the corner…

DU: Why did you name the album, Humanoid?
Gustav: Humanoid is a pretty word to show how human we are, behind the surrealist aspect, almost irrational, of our success. That title opens a new chapter in the band’s history.

DU: In which context did you do the recording?
Bill: This opus is the result of a meticulous work. We recorded in the biggest studios in Germany, but also in the USA; precisely in Miami and L.A.
Tom: We collaborated with big names in production such as Guy Chambers who worked with Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue. Red One known for his collaboration with Lady Gaga and Desmond Child who worked with Aerosmith, Jovi, Ricky Martin, Kelly Clarckson and the Rasmus.

DU: Is that the reflection (mirror image?) of the new musical style of Tokio Hotel?
Bill: Without claiming to revolution the music codes, Humanoid describes perfectly the musical mood the band is in. A sound that is more rock and mature. The electro influence is also more noticeable than before.
Tom: From a musical point of view, there is a lot of bass, drums and guitar. But the instrument that dominates is the synthesizer. It bring an new cosmic dimension inspired by science-fiction.

DU: Talking about that, what sense do you give your album cover?
Georg: We wanted that cover to reflect all he songs.That’s why we took Bill’s face, imagined as a guinea pig of a futuristic experimentation. He appears totally robotic, metallic and cold. Three years of thinking were necessary to the elaboration of that visual image.
Bill: Even if the role of being the band’s leader was given to me through time, it made me ill at ease to appear alone on the cover. I am not truing to put myself in the spotlight or eclipse Tom, Gustav and Georg. But in the end, I am satisfied with the visual result. The band is expressing itself through me…

DU: What is the format for this new pack?
Bill: True to our habits, Humanoid will be released in two versions: one in German and one in English. The disc will be proposed through three editions: the limited fan pack, the deluxe edition, and the standard edition. And of course, the legal downloads.

DU: Why did you choose Automatisch as a first single?
Tom: The choice of that rock sounding song was like an evidence for the four of us.It represents perfectly the new musical orientation of the group. That track is amusing, Bill and I composed it in two hours.The text and the melody came to us with disconcerting ease. From the start, we had the feeling that the first single would be that one and no other.
Georg: Plus, the clip of Automatisch is simply gorgeous. The shooting took place in South Africa and lasted for five days. Since we were in the middle of the desert, it was freezing.There, when the sun sets, the nights are glacial. In spite of that little meteorological problem, South Africa and its grandiose landscapes is unforgettable.

DU: Where does the changing of your looks comes from?
Tom: After having dreadlocks for nine years, I felt like changing. So I cut my hair really short because my former hairdo was impossible to undo. After that I waited for it to grow, and then I tried afro-type of extensions to amuse myself. Since they didn’t look so bad on me, I kept them.
Bill: On my part, I said farewell to my crazy hair since December 2008 for a less eccentric hairdo. I have thin black and white tresses extensions. Tom teases me that I copied his former look [laugh]
Gustav: I simply choose to wear glasses to see better. I think they give me a nerd look, not that it displeases me [laugh]. Agree with Bill and Tom on the hair colour part, I risked a little darker colour.

DU: Do you have new tattoos and piercings?
Bill: Yes, I have a tattoo on my left flank, from below my armpits to my hip. In German, the sentence says: “Wie hören nie auf zu schreien, wir kehren zum Unsprung zurück” Meaning in French (Here in English): “We never stop screaming, we return to the origins”.
Gustav: I also have a new tattoo. On my right calf, were you can read the lyrics of my favourite song Hurt by Johnny Cash.
Tom: Bill, Georg and I have each a new piercing on an intimate part of our anatomy. Decency prohibits me to indicate where it is.

DU: Can we hope for a single in French anytime soon?
Bill: Unfortunately, no. Even though it’s part of our biggest projects. To be franc, we have a French recording in our boxes. But for some reason, our label Polydor refuses the concretising of that project…[Note: I think Bill’s answer is kind of mocking the “stupid” question. In French? Please no!]

DU: 1st of September was Bill and Tom’s 20th birthday. How did you celebrate the event?
Bill: In spite of our heavy schedule, we wanted to celebrate anyway. We spent an entire day at Heidepark of Saulto in Germany. We gathered about twenty friends plus family members.
Tom: To avoid any bother, we took the precaution to reserve the park for ourselves. It was fantastic and we could enjoy every roller coaster.

DU: Are you (all) still single?
Bill: No. One of us has a girlfriend. The three remaining, including me are confirmed singles.
Georg: Since Bill sold me out, I’ll denounce myself. I am actually living with a pretty and charming girl whose name I’ll keep to myself. She’s German. I won’t say anything more…[laugh]

Anne: Now it’s finally time for the interview with Tokio Hotel, we have waited for this for a long time and now we have a guest here in the studio. It’s someone very special, it’s our own producer Johan Aldonen.
Johan: “I thought you were going to say that it was Tokio Hotel. But it’s not, it’s just me...”
The other dude and Johan speak in German, just some silly jokes.
The weird dude: “Im just joking around with you” *scary laugh*
Weird dude: “I have to tell you something. Anne and I were about to do an interview with Tokio Hotel, we had said we were interested to interview them. And you should have seen the psychopathic look our producer gave us, he slapped us and screamed “NO! I am going to the interview!!!”. And you have no idea how happy he has been after that, it was clearly a big moment for him.
Johan: “It WAS a big moment! I have floated on clouds ever since... It was beautiful boys who stepped in to the studio. All 4 group members were there – the twins, Bill and Tom Kaulitz, who most of you associate with Tokio Hotel. And then also Georg and Gustav, who are more of background figures.
They are very, very popular, they have ALOT of fans all over the world. Mostly in Europe but in other places too. Alot of people know about them and love their music. But it has not always been like this, they started when they were young and unknown. So, the first question I wanted to ask them was how it feels to be so very popular and how it was the first time they realized they actually had fans.”
Bill: Well you never get used to it. You don't feel like to be a star every day. Actualy, it is always unusal to us, if things like this happen. I do remember very well the first time. It was a small village and it was our first performance after the realease of our first single. The concert had to be interrupted, because there were not enough securtiy. They never expected so much Fans...and we were also totaly overwhelmed. I do remeber exatcly, that we actually did not get it at all. I do remember this day very well.
Johan: “That was Bill, the singer, who answered that question and he says that he still thinks it’s very strange that they have fans. That everytime they meet fans it’s the same feeling and just as weird as the first time.
The first time they realized they had fans was when they had released their first single and they were on a gig in a small village in Germany. The place was so small, they had no security. So many fans showed up that they had to cancel the concert and run out through the back door before everything escalated into chaos. That’s what they remember, it was beautiful. Look *shows the others a photo* this is Bill when he’s telling us the story. It was a very touching story!”
Anne: “Yes, it was!”
Weird dude: “Im crying over here...”
Anne: “... they were very humble and I appreciate that. Because they have become famous so fast and you can easily become a bit conceited. But there’s no sign of that with these guys.”
Johan: “No, they seem to be very honest and sympathetic. You almost become unpleasantly touched of how sympathetic they are.
Anyway, more about their fame. Can they even walk on the streets without being recognized? Do they have any privacy at all?”
Bill: Well actually...you don't have privacy at all. We have given it up at age 15.
Tom: But the privacy thing is not necessarily because we always meet fans. It is like...everyone is recognizing us, if we are in the public. Whether they like or dislike our music, they recognize us anyway. To walk like a normal guy on the street is not possible anymore and we have not done it since we have been 15 years old....and actually we do have only a little time to do privat stuff..because we are estimated 320 days on the road with the band. And of course, even if the spotlight is off...we continue to work.
Johan: “No, the poor guys in Tokio Hotel havent had a private life since they were 15 years old actually. That’s what they’re telling us. I dont know, 15 years old... Before Tokio Hotel they called themselves Devilish, they were just a local band and had no record deal. So they have done music for quite a while eventhough theyre all just around their 20’s. So, no private life there. They say that everybody recognizes them on the street. And not only their fans but also people who dont like their music walks up to them on the steet, which makes it hard for them to go outside unnoticed.
An other thing that makes it hard for them to have a private life is that they work with the band 320 days a year, that’s quite alot....”
Weird dude: “What are they doing the other days?” (mein gott, lame XD)
Johan: “Yea, I was wondering the same... I dont know. They do something else...”
Weird dude: “Maybe theyre playing Pidro(?)” (??? Dont know what that is... :S)
Johan: “They dont have that much time for other things.”
Anne: “They’re celebrating their birthdays, of course!”
Johan: “Yea, of course, birthdays. Actually 3 of the 4 band members have just had their birthdays this past week. The twins, Bill and Tom, and Gustav, the drummer. So, of course I asked them how they celebrated their birthdays.”
Bill: Tom and I have rented a theme-parc (amusement-parc). We have fullfilled our childhood-dream. We have been there with Georg and Gustav, our closet family members and friends and we had the entire theme-parc for us...I love stuff like this, i can't get enough of it. We have been ten times on the rollercoster, for real, but i guess it, was not a good idea...because on the next day, all of us felt a little bit sick.
Tom: Yes...and Gustav celebrated his birthday yesterday in Stockholm.
Gustav: Ja...Stockholm.
Johan: “Bill and Tom celebrated their birthday by renting an amusement park, it was one of their childhood dreams. They rented the entire park and invited their friends and family, and of course the other band members.” (lol, what, theyre not their friends? XD)
Weird dude: “So 3/4 of the band have their birthday in a week. What if they wouldnt invite the other dude who dont have birthday that week?” *laughs* -.-
Johan: “Haha, a hint for what they think about him... Anyway, this is how they celebrated the twins and poor Gustav had his birthday when the band was on their PR tour in Stockholm. So he celebrated his birthday in Stockholm and they all laughed at him. It was a bit tragic actually...” (HEEY! We sang Happy Birthday outside the hotel!!! And what’s wrong with Stockholm?? xDDD)
Weird dude: “Aaaaaw, Gusse!!!” (LMAO XD)
Johan: “...and he just sat there and was a bit ashamed about it.”
Anne: “That’s awful.”

RADIO EXTREME

Anne: “We have our producer here in the studio and he has interviewed the band we’ll soon talk more about. But Johan, you also got to hear some of the songs from their new record. How was that?”
Johan: “It was a bit...ehm, I was pretty surprised actually. They all sounded so different, I listened to 5 songs from the new record that’ll be released in the beginning of October. And some of them sounded, just like with Automatisch, like an old Tokio Hotel song. Like from the previous record...”
Weird dude: “Rock hard!” O___o
Johan: “.... –laughter- Yea, you could hear it was them. But then, the other songs had a new sound that I actually like better. They didnt have that typical Tokio Hotel sound. I think it will be hard for many to recognize them. But Im sure there’ll be some more big hits from this album.”
Anne: “Was it more pop or rock?”
Johan: “They had a rockier sound... a heavier sound, more guitars and stuff. Yup! Anyway, the album will be released in the beginning of October, as I said. So I asked the guys the question, how would you describe the new album?”
Bill: For the first time...Tom and I have coproduced the album. It is a different Tokio Hotel album. For a long time we have not written new songs and we toured a lot with the old stuff...and on the end of last year...we could not listen to us anymore or even look at us....we needed a break. We finaly wanted to write new songs and also take a look on our development. Ja..the album is a little bit more electronic. We removed ourself a bit from only using Guitar, Bass and Drums. We tried a little bit more and a new sound-world is involved. The producition and writing had last almost a year.
Johan: ”Bill and Tom write most of the songs, so they told us that the reason they started to make new songs was because they were so incredibly tired of their old songs. They were tired of seeing them and hearing them, so they didnt want anything to do with them anymore. So that’s why they decided to make a new album. They also say that this is a very different Tokio Hotel album, where they have uses new instruments, not only guitar, bass and drums. I dont know, the 5 songs I heard didnt have any new instruments but... we will see with the other songs.”
Anne: “Couldnt you hear the triangle (I dont know if that’s what u say in english, in swedish it’s “triangel”) and the flute?”
Weird dude: “Pling!!!”
Johan: “Haha, and the ukulele... exactly. Haha. But we’ll see, the album will be released in both an English version and a German version, of course. They claim themselves that it’s because they want to offer their fans alot more. But we who are a bit cynical think it’s because they want to sell a bit more.”
Anne: “I personally think it’s a good thing. Because I struggled alot in school with German. If my teacher had made two records, one in German and one in English I would have learned alot faster.”
Johan: “Probably. So now everybody will learn German because of Tokio Hotel. And that’s not bad. Anyway, this band has sold millions of records. And at some point the question about money will turn up, and now of course we asked them what they do with all the money they earn.”
Bill: As you just noticed, we are not that rich, because otherwise my wish would not be the downloads.
Tom: Ja.
Bill: If it had not come to the downloads...i would have certainly almost retired. But...some always tend to think...., but you have to say nowerdays ...in the music buisiness you actually earn no millions, that some might believe....perhabs ten years ago it was like this....if you want to be really rich...you have to be a soccer-player or a racedriver....
Tom: But you have to say, that we are a band, that like to loose a lot of money ...because we say NO to 10.000 things a day...where we would probably earn a lot of money....but we don't want to do it...because we don't like it...
Bill: Or we play a concert and blow up the whole venue with all the pyrotechnics..and in the end there is no money left to go home with.
Tom: Or we do it like this time...shooting such an expensiv video...like for Automatic...and earn no money for the next half year.
Johan: “They claim that they’re not at all as rich as many tend to think they are. Eventhough they rented an amusement park on their birthday. They said they use alot of money for pyrotechnique and light effects on their shows and also the video for the new single “Automatisch” costed them so much that they wont earn a single penny the next 6 months. I dont know if it’s true but it’s what they say. Then I had to ask them a question about their band name.You get weird associations, it’s not the most obvious name to come up with. But I asked them, if they could have a place for example a hotel, that would be called Tokio Hotel. What would it be like?”
Bill: Tokio Hotel would probably an awesome Hotel. We do think anyway about...
Tom: Ja...we think about for now to write an hotel-guide...because we stayed in so many hotels worldwide from very good to very bad... and second...we could open an awesome hotel.
Bill: Ja...we truely love to open a hotel...maybe some day we will do it..a perfect hotel...from the electic socket by the bed.
Tom: Ja..from the ecletic socket by the bed to a perfect comfortable bathtub...everything perfect..
Johan: “They say that they actually have thought of opening up their own place called Tokio Hotel and it would be the most perfect of all the perfect hotels in the world. And they also say that they’re actually quite the experts when it comes to hotels since they’ve stayed in so many weird places all around the world during their tours. The most perfect hotel would have a beautiful bathtub in a beautiful bathroom. And then the most important thing of all, there must be an electic socket by the bed.”
Anne: “An electric socket by the bed? I think there is always a socket by the bed...?”
Johan: “Obviously not in the hotels Tokio Hotel have stayed in.”
Weird dudes: “Oh those poor bastards, what kind of hotels are they staying on?” XD
Anne: “Im happy they said they wanted the socket by the bed, it wouldve been a bit terrifying if they wanted one by the bathtub.”
Johan: “That wouldve been worse, for sure. That wouldve explained his hair though...”
Anne: “Oh no, YEAAA... no. Wait, Johan when you met them, were they still as styled as they usually are?”
Johan: “Yea, the singer, Bill was. But the other 3 were just like... you... and me.”
Anne: “Aha...okay.”
Weird dude: “Aha, that beautiful? What did they think about your Tokio Hotel tattoos?”
Johan: “They loved them, especially the ones I have on my forehead!”

New Single, new Outfit and a new Language too. Tokio Hotel surprise the German audience at Schlag den Raab with the english version of their new Single “Automatisch”. It seems like the boys from Magdeburg grew up and also managed to reinvent themselves without giving up their own Style.

Stefan seemed to be pleased with their appearance too, because he not only took some time to thank Bill and Tom with a handshake, no, also Gustav and Georg recieved one as a ‘Thank You’ for an absolutely exhilarating performance. Yes, you read right, I felt the same as the audience.

When Matthias Opdenhövel announced Tokio Hotel at the beginning of the Show, some negative responses could be heard from the audience. After their appearance those responses were gone. With their new Single and I’m sure that also with their new Album, Tokio Hotel will conquer our Country a second time and also have more Fans than before.

Translation:
Your new album releases in the beginning of october, how satisfied are you with the result?
Bill: We’re very satisfied, it’s very exciting, because we’ve produced very long, worked very long at it. It’s like a baby, you don’t know what you’re doing somehow. You’re doing something you like and you’re happy with it, and then the time comes when it’s released, and we’re really nervous.And we’re really happy with it, we took our time, tried a lot of new things, and are really satisfied.

The title means humanoid, is that something personal or.. how did you come up with the title?
Tom: It is kinda personal, Humanoid was a little a feeling that accompanied Bill and me through life. It’s like that until today. And we realised with writing songs for the album that the title fits to us.

For the first time the album is released in english and german at the same time, is it different to sing in english?
Bill: Well, it was a challenge to do both languages from the beginning, because last time we had more time, we translated afterwards.And it was more work than expected, because we made the texts in two languages and it takes two times longer. For example, the videos. But we didn’t want to neglect any version. I had to get used to it, but nowadays.. We’re kinda back to the beginning, to what we did in the beginning. When we started ten years ago, we started in german and english too. And now we’re doing that again. It feels good.

What’s it like to be famous in the USA and Canada?
Tom: Very good, of course. I mean, we hope to go to as much countries as possible. And we haven’t been to Japan until now, we still wanna do that. And it’s great, of course. Those can’t be too much countries for us.

Are the fans different then here over there?
Tom: I think every fan is different, I don’t think you can decide that in countries. You can’t say it’s like that in Canada, and like that in France.

What was the experience like to do the photoshoot with Karl Lagerfeld for the Vogue?
Bill: It was a very good experience. It’s like dreams you can make true in between and it was really nice.I was really excited that I was able to do that. We could get along well and I like him very much, it was really nice to work with him. It was a very nice photoshoot and it was really nice.

Did you know from the beginning what he wanted?
Bill: I think we can understand eachother really well, because we’re both perfectionists. I really know what I want, and he too. I think it was the fastes photoshoot I ever had and it went really well.

With the last album, things happend offstage, with stalkers. Are those the shadow-sides you have to live with?
Bill: It are the shadow-sides, the things the success takes along and you have to live with.It really is one of the negative things.

Did it get better, is it over now? Bill: I don’t think it will ever get over.
Tom: Well, we’re a lot away, and because of that we don’t really get to know it. Because of that it’s a little hard to decide, but last year, when we produced the album, we tried to live completely privat. And than we realised that has become really hard.

You were accused of punching one of the stalkers, how is that now, is that still going on?
Tom: Yes, that..Yes.

Gustav, you were attacked with a beer-glass.That must have hurt, not?
Gustav: Yeah, yeah. It has hurt.
Tom: We have had really different things that have hurt, to be honest. We fight daily, that hurts much more.

As said, I believe you’re the only one in a official relationship, Georg?
Georg: Yes, not only official. I’m the only one that’s taken.

How does it look like at the others? Nothing new?
Bill: With me like before, because of Tokio Hotel…Yeah, there wasn’t a relationship. I hope it’ll change sometime. I’d love to tell something different, I’m not the one to keep that a secret. That’s really stupid, not to say it. I hope it’ll happen sometime, of course.

What are your plans for next year?
Bill: We will be away a lot, we try to go to every country, to meet the fans, show the album and so. We’re planning our tour now, we will play a really big tour in the beginning of 2010.So, there’s something in our schedule. I believe in our schedule there’s no free time anymore.

So, last question, because you lived completely private: did you miss everything, the concerts and so?
Bill: Well, it’s nice sometimes to not see each other every day. And when there’s written so much shit, you’ll love to sit back and make music and so. It was actually only irritating. We were making the album and you want the people to hear that sometime, so it feels good to go out and to be ready with the album and… I can’t imagine not doing it for years or something like that. I need it.When you’re not on stage for a long time, you want to do it again.

Bill: Already way before the band began I loved going outside the house with make up and everything that goes with it. I didn't feel like I was dressed up, but felt like myself. Actually, when I have a few days off these days, what hardly happens, I love sitting around unshaved, with no make up and in joggingpants on he couch. it is a pretty nice chance.
Tom: I have always had these urban haircuts. Used to be dreadlocks, now cornrows (africanbraids). I like easycare hair. you get up in the morning and don't have to fix your hair first.

The Idols of Tokio Hotel:

Bill: I had always had a love for vampire movies, I like Nena and David Bowie. I never thought, I want to look like that. The japanese Visual-Kei-scene (comics and punk inspired fashionmovement) to what I often get compared, I did not know it.
Tom: I like tough guys. Steve McQueen and Robert De Niro. I want to look like that when I am old. I can imagine I would wear a beard then.

Tokio Hotel and rebellism.

Bill: Our stepfather picked us up from the town once with a baseballbat because older boys had threatened to beat us up. We already polarised when we were 9, and were contious of it. The more the people got agitated by my dark make up the darker it would be the next day.

Tokio Hotel and Sex:

Bill: At concerts I could ofcourse say to one of the securitypeople: That one, that one and this one, bring them to me later. But it doesn't turn me on, I have to be in love.
Tom: To get with me, you don't need any difficult tricks (laughs). I have taken extreme advantage of that for a long time, had a lot of "short stories" going on. But it was only something physical and nothing more.
Bill: Once I got to my hotelroom and there were 3 girls laying on the bed. The bodyguards went nuts and threw them out ofcourse. but things like that happen. the girls come in through the window.

TokioHotel and privacy.

Tom: Since a few years we live very secluded lives. If we ever go outside the house, then we always have security with us. Going out and walking around spontaniously, we can not do that anymore. In the last year I have not met even one person simply on the street.

Tokio Hotel and the Business:

Tom: Our new album is also a thank you to our German fans, for staying true to us, while we were touring the world. That we often work with older people during our workingdays does not bother us at all.
Bill: I totally love hanging out with older people! I would love to have an old folks club. I would meet them every afternoon for coffee.

When tokio hotel had their first number 1 hit, in 2005 with Durch Den Monsun, Bill wore a combination of punk, emo and a "I slept bad last night" on his head.

Porcupine:
For their second album (Zimmer 483) the singer presented himself in 2007 with new porcupine hair, that looked like it came from japanese manga. But that seems to be a coincidence.

Noble Rasta:
The last scream for the new album: Humanoid. Designer dreadlocks with bright extensions. It has nothing to do with reggae. Bill just wanted a change..

TH doesn't have time to listen to other artists' music

Bill: I know that here is a very strong and powerful world of music, own Finnish music world. But have to admit that I am not very well versed in it. It is a fact that especially in recent years when we did music all the time, you didn't really have time to listen to others music because you are so completely dedicated to your own music. And sometimes people are asking where we get the inspiration to our songs and albums. The truth is that when you are working hard for a album you don't have time to listen others music.

We don't have stylists. Big tour in 2010

Bill: First question about our looks. We are doing everything ourselves. We have never used the stylists, we are doing everything ourselves. And I haven't changed my look recently. Hair I have now, have been from last year's December. And if I want to change my look, I do it spontaneously. If I want it, I'll do it. But basically we are doing everything ourselves. Sometimes I draw something and if it's not ready in stores I ask somebody to do it from the drawing. Then the second question about future plans. We are currently planning a big tour for a year 2010, we have a new production company and a contract about the tour with new production company and booking company.
