After watching Tokio Hotel's recent DVD, Caught on Camera, two things became very clear to me—the boys in Tokio Hotel are hilarious, and they really care about animals. When the subject of their rather elaborate entrance to MTV's Video Music Awards on a monster truck came up, the boys took the opportunity to mention how they felt about rapper T-Pain arriving on an elephant.
Tokio Hotel's vocalist (with the best hair ever, I might add), Bill Kaulitz, said "It was sheer cruelty—it was that." Bill's brother and Tokio Hotel's guitarist, Tom, followed Bill's thought by saying "I hate zoos and circuses. People shouldn't take their children to either one." We couldn't agree more, boys! Circuses are certainly no fun for animals, as they are confined to small enclosures, forced to do tricks, beaten with sharp metal bullhooks, and unable to live a normal life. Thankfully, there are quite a few all human circuses out there, which are a very entertaining alternative!

Hard to believe: Tokio Hotel are nominated by british music magazine New Musical Express (NME) as "Worst band"!
Last year the four Magdeburger boys were export number one and had mutiple victories. It was raining MTV Awards in los Angeles, Mexico and Liverpool, the fan base grew over the whole world. And now this!
On 25 February the NME Awards will be given out in England. Till then the readers can vote. Tokio Hotel are in one category with Fall Out Boy, The Jonas Brothers and Oasis.
The weird thing about the award nominations: Oasis is besides "Worst Band" also nominated for "Best Live Band" and lead singer Noel Gallagher as "Hero of the year". What we can conclude is: Those who have succes also will get rejection.
The German fans know for sure: Tokio Hotel are our heroes. 2008 they were the winners of the year, no doubt!
I totally agree with Bild..this nomination is absolutely ridiculous! -.-'

It's been awhile since the production trio known as the Matrix worked on such a highly anticipated album. But that will change this spring when Tokio Hotel release the follow-up to their English language breakthrough album, Scream. The yet-untitled album is being co-produced by the pop songwriters/producers best known for their work with Avril Lavigne, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears and Korn.
"We're in the middle of working on the Tokio Hotel record right now," Matrix member Lauren Christy said Tuesday, the same day the collective's long-lost album featuring a then-unknown singer by the name of Katy Perry dropped on iTunes. "We've done eight songs for that record ... and I love the singer's voice and the fact that they play their own instruments. They're a real band, and they're very dark. They're this almost-perfect, gorgeous-looking band but with music that's very dark."
So far, Christy said the German group has laid down tracks at two different Los Angeles studios with the Matrix and with their own in-house production team over the past few months, with a mix that includes very "strong, anthem-y" songs with a dark edge and "lots of guitars."
Fellow Matrix producer Scott Spock said the sessions have been one of the most exciting and enjoyable of his career. "We've worked with so many different people, and when you get into a room where magic just starts happening ... it makes everything really fun," he said, comparing the spark to the one he felt working with Lavigne and Korn. "It's the same experience with Tokio Hotel. ... They are all really talented and can write and play, and they're the real deal."
Spock said he can't recall the last time he worked with a singer who had as much star quality as TH leader Bill Kaulitz. "The music business really needs Tokio Hotel right now," Spock said. "They're reviving that image of what a rock star is. ... Their writing has developed massively, and we're experimenting a bit with some Depeche Mode influence. ... It doesn't sound like anything else out there right now. People don't want to hear a bunch of 808s and Auto-Tuned vocals. They want the real stuff."
Christy added that one of the other things she's grown to love about the rockers is their strong sense of identity, one that seems impervious to the Matrix's tendency toward a big, bright pop sound. "The band is so aware of what they are, and when you have an artist that's that strong, you can't pull them and homogenize them and make them sound like they're not. They're very opinionated about what they want."
That strong sense of self has made it easier to work with the guys as they try to introduce some more American rock styles to their sound, Spock said, while working hard not to lose that unique essence that has made them worldwide stars already. "The push and pull between the camps has been great," he said. "And I think the album will be great because of that. I'm going to look back on this in 10 years and say, 'Wow, I worked with Tokio Hotel!' "
Christy said TH came to the Matrix because they really liked the ballad they'd co-written with Avril Lavigne, "I'm With You," as well as their production on Korn's See You on the Other Side album.
"They like the sadness of that song and were really touched by it," she said of the Lavigne tune. "They like the Korn records too, but they said, 'We wouldn't do that, but it's really good. But it's not truthful to us as a band.' " So far, the Matrix have been co-writing all the songs they've worked on with TH for the album, and at press time, Scott said they had completed work on six of those tunes.
The album is tentatively due in late spring, according to Christy; a spokesperson for TH's label could not be reached for comment at press time. "Their confidence in knowing exactly who they are and what they're doing, given how youthful they are, is amazing," Spock said. "They definitely bring the dark side of the pop song, not like a Lamb of God record but with rock influences that will cross over to so many different kids ... and even some adults."
In addition to the TH album, Christy said the Matrix have been grinding away on Korn singer Jonathan Davis' solo debut, an album by "iCarly" star Miranda Cosgrove, the next Ashley Tisdale CD and the soundtrack to the rebooted "Fame."

Hamburg-based music publisher Peermusic has signed one of Germany's most successful composers and producers, Peter Hoffmann and his publishing company Capellmeister Musikverlag.

The group's latest album, "Scream" (Cherrytree/Interscope) peaked at No. 39 on the Billboard 200. Hoffmann's other top-selling performers include German soul singer Jennifer Kae, children's group Lollipops and veteran artists Vicky Leandros and Marianne Rosenberg.
Michael Karnstedt, chairman of Peermusic Europe tells Billboard.biz: "We are very pleased indeed that such a renowned composer and producer as Peter Hoffmann has opted to join Peermusic. The Official Street Team UK can confirm that:
- TH did not record a video in London (and they won't do it too). There are no plans for any video yet (which means that the rumor about Las Vegas it's also false);
- TH are not recording in Abbey Road;
- TH were not in Universal Music in London for any meetings or recordings;
- TH are not installed at places in London in which were in the past, so people who say that unfortunately are wrong.
Have a great day! <3

It seems that this is Tom's new car, but yet it's still just a rumour. The Cadillac was sponsored for a period of time and now (maybe) the contract is up..this new vehicle is a silver Audi R8 and it's a German car.
On the last few days, it came out on the internet a list with a bunch of new tour dates for the guys. It happens that I didn't post them here because I thought it was very strange and it was also not posted at their official website..today I had the confirmation that this was really just a rumour. All the official Street Teams told that the dates announced are all fake and very distant from being the real ones..we have to wait until the 100% real dates come out!
Wow, this update turned out really huge..enjoy it all! o.0 xD

'We've kept the same crew. Our new album will probably surprise a lot of people and I hope the fans will love it,' Bill Kaulitz of Tokio Hotel says when talking about the band's next LP.
During an interview with Dream Up Magazine, Tokio Hotel's frontman Bill Kaulitz opens up about the band's upcoming third studio album, which is expected to arrive in stores next spring. "It was a very intense and creative period but at the same time, it offered a much needed break for the band," so he begins.
"There are a lot of new influences that until now, have not been heard in the sound of Tokio Hotel," Bill explains further. "Even so, we've kept the same crew. Our new album will probably surprise a lot of people and I hope the fans will love it."
On what kind of songs they have been crafting for the record, Bill shares the tracks mostly deal with their lives after the band claimed their fame through 2007 LP "Scream". He reveals, "They handle about our mood, new thoughts and reflections, and also new wishes and hopes."
"We have a song but there are many different ways to interpret the song. And we have to find the best interpretation," Bill shares more. "We, then start to experiment with each song by changing the guitar-sounds or modifying my voice."
New Tattoo, new CD, new tour: Tokio Hotel are planning for 2009 a major attack. At the end of March will be their new CD will appear, the boys tinkering in the studio is currently under pressure in the last few songs. Bill: "It is our most personal album, in every line is my heart and soul!" In the end of January will be on its website (www.tokiohotel.de) the new tour dates announced. From April, initially over 60 gigs across Europe is planned in the autumn followed by a U.S. tour. Maybe Bill shows (19) and its brand new tattoo on the left side of the upper body now emblazoned on the big krasse saying: "Wir hören nie auf zu schreien; Whir kehren zum Unsprung züruck"! Full strangelove!
Note: This information is posted on the official fanclub forum, but yet it came from a german magazine (Popcorn), which means that nothing is confirmed or official.
Have a nice day! <3

On his official website, the American producer and song-writer most famous in Rock, also known as Desmond Child, said he is working with Tokio Hotel.
Do you remeber the hit "I was made for loving you" by Kiss, "Living on a Prayer" from Bon Jovi, "Hole in my Soul" of Aerosmith? the list of the co-wroted songs and produced by Desmond child is long... Indeed, 300 million albuns sold worldwide, half of them have him as producer or pricipal colaboratior. And now we knew that his writting with (to...) Tokio Hotel, as it did with the Jonas Brothers a few years ago. One thing is that is safe despite the changes that had been announced for their thirth album, the four Germans want always to be sure they sell many CDs.
I think this collaboration is really awesome, and I'm thrilled to see what's the result of their new album!
There are some rumours saying that the title will be 'Reset'..I think it fits very well since they're changing the sound a lot, but let's wait to see!
Have a great day! <3

Drama for Tokio Hotel drummer Gustav Schäfer (20)! The Magdeburger had to be taken into emergency surgery in his hometown. Ruptured appendix, life threatening! The exclusive interview at his sick bed…
Bravo: You had an emergency surgery for your appendix. What happened?
Gustav: Two days after new years I woke up with a terrible stomach ache. I got myself some tea and thought: it will go away eventually. It did go well on some moments. But when the pain only got worst in the evening I decided to call a friend.
Bravo: Did you go to the hospital then right away?
Gustav: No, stupid enough, I didn’t wanna go to the hospital. I underestimated the whole thing. My friend came over to my house and thank god talked me into going to the hospital after all.
Bravo: Did they operate on you right away?
Gustav: The doctors first did a few little tests and after that immediately took me into surgery!
Bravo: A ruptured appendix can be very dangerous. How bad was it all?
Gustav: The doctors told me that if had gotten there a little later it all could have ended differently. It was really close. Off course you know that a ruptured appendix can be dangerous. I don’t get from myself why I acted the way I did. I owe my friend a lot.
Bravo: How did the surgery go? How long did it take? Do you still feel pain?
Gustav: The surgery took about an hour and happened while I was under full anaesthetics. The doctors made three small holes in my belly. They operated through that. Three days later, on 5 January I was released from the hospital.
Bravo: Do you still have pain?
Gustav: I barely feel pain anymore. But my belly doesn’t really feel great either of course…
Germany is one of the biggest music market in the world. According to the Music Export Office in Lueneburg the industry made 1,7 million Euros in 2006.
We Germans like our artists and bands from our own country but beyond the borders the popularity sinks drastic.
In foreign countries only those musicians can hold their own, who are not swimming with the mainstream, musicians who are not try to copy english artists and whose songs have rough edges. These are the words of the German Music Export Office, whose target it is to make Germany's musicians more popular in foreign countries.
Actually TH is swimming on the wave of the mainstream but they lead the foreign charts from the Music Export Office anyways.
The four musicians are so successful that they travel from one award show to the next. Comet, Echo, Bambi, Eins live Krone are only be overtrumped from the EMA Award which they won in 2007 as first german band ever.
Since their childhood the boys are working for their success. They formed their first band when they were 11 years old. In the meantime they fill halls between New Jersey and Las Vegas, their songs scale the charts in Canada, France, Poland and Russia. Even in the Middle East the band succeeded. Israeli fans begged so long until TH gave a concert in Tel Aviv.
Allegedly it's thanks to the band that the german language is studied more now around the globe - eventually the fans want to sing along at concerts.

One can of course the four Pennäler still smile with some justification. Only one thing can not be over: the success of Tokio Hotel alone the domestic audience Teenie attribute. The young rocker quartet to the brothers Kaulitz has long been in the international music business arrived. Of course, the enthusiasm for the Teen Band about overseas is not as formidable as it is here. But to harvest them there is no significant hostile, but sometimes almost like respect. Like all young people to travel, Tokio Hotel have their exciting adventures in the world documented. Under the title 'Tokio Hotel TV' is directed specifically at Youtube a channel that is somehow as a tour diary in the form of video work. For fans certainly an exciting thing. And with 'Caught On Camera!' there is now a Best of the witty recordings on DVD.
Tel Aviv, Paris, Toronto, New York City, Geneva, Lisbon, Mexico City: The destinations can opt for a school band, God knows, not bad. With significant enthusiasm cavort through the four rooms backstage before the camera in the world - about as if they were on a very exclusive, very long trip. This has quite some charm and authenticity, unlike the acting staged adventure trips to Gokartbahnen and climbing walls. Well, the boys just want to have fun.
The question remains, however, to what extent the exploitation of the films on DVD really makes sense. The shaky, short recordings in the 4:3-create the full technical potential of the medium is not rudimentary, and overall fit much better in the spontaneous Youtube format. The only value to the well-known from the Web Clips here is retrospective of the band comments on the Shown. But such Krittelei is the true fan probably did not want.

Sunshine, beach, pure relaxation: Tokio Hotel relax during a vacation.
The Sun burns the naked skin, the turquoise ocean silently waves, and the small sandgrails tickle the soles. It would be a dream for a day, which nowadays doesn't exist in the big winter. While everybody wraps themselves in their thickest coat in Germany, and their tooth chatters, till then Bill and Tom Kaulitz (19) from Tokio Hotel, feel very well on the Maldives. Meanwhile, it became a kind of ritual, that the Tokio Hotel-Twins desire relaxation in the cold season. 8.000 km from Germany, the brothers relax at the Indian-Ocean and they enjoy the life.
But hoppla - Something is not correct! The white-blue flowery short covers Tom's shapely bottom. One year ago Bill was on holiday in the same piece on the beach of Ari-Atoll. It is the real brother love! Bill revealed in an interview: "We share everything with each other." Everything - except the love of the tattoos. "I don't disfigure my body" explicated Tom his dislike for tattoos. Anyway, his brother, Bill stands this question differently: in November was in evidence his XXL - Tattoo on his left side. On the Maldivien-beach Bill showed his newest tattooed sentences on his bust with the first time: "Wir hören nie auf zu schreien" and "Wir kehren zum Ursprung zurück."
Eye-catching that, Bill is very thin again and his ribs are visible. Opposite of him, Tom is very well-trained: his abdominal is nicely visible and his funny "bunch"- hairstyle. And it seems, Bill envied his brother's mane - he has short dreadlocks since then! Wow: he looks like a loose island-guy. Simply hot!!
(The voting ends on 13th January!)
Tomorrow I'll make a graphics update almost for sure, so be don't forget to stay tunned in!

Maldives: What’s with the hieroglyphs the half naked Bill has there on his body? Bill and Tom Kaulitz of Tokio Hotel are relaxing after a very exhausting, yet very successful year [3 “MTV Awards”, Echo, US tour] in their favorite vacation paradise. Lying around lazily everyday while getting baked in the sun, splashing around in the sea and simply getting away from their rock star life.
Eye-catching is: Bill’s new tattoo on the left half side of his upper body. Two sentences that entwine into one another: "Wir hören nie auf zu schreien / Wir kehren zum Ursprung zurück". The first sentence supposedly stands for Bill’s rebelling, and the second about his strong bond to his family.
Below Tom’s picture: Tanned with a dreadlock bun. Tom Kaulitz gazes into the distance.
Below Bill’s picture: Vacation on the Maldives. Bill shows off his huge tattoo on his upper body while swimming.

Who's for the Tokio Hotel Twins there, when the spotlights are gone? Who always stands for them, who can they entrust everything? Bravo knows...
Today Los Angeles, New York of San Francisco. Tomorrow Rome, Wien or Stockholm. And the day after tomorrow Berlin, Koeln or Muenchen. Oikot Letoh is constantly on the road. There Bill(19), Dread Pirate Kaulitz(19), Gustav(20) and Georg(21) get to know new people every day. They are four worldstars only on the glory. Only one stands always for them - no matter what happens: Andreas, as known as Andi. This 19-year-old from Wolmirstedt by Magdeburg is the all-time best friend of TH-Twins Bill and Dread Pirate Kaulitz. They can always trust him: "We've known each other for sooo long," says Bill. "Andi was already on our side, before anybody knew us. He knows everything about us. And we can tell him just about everything." They've already known each other for 7 years. "He was with us at the school in Wolmirstedt," recalls Bill. "There were not many people other than Andi, with whom we could get along well." In opposite, Bill was dissed by many for his extreme looks. However for Andi, it was totally different! Since he was the same as them, the twins liked Andi from the beginning: "Good friends have to be similar somehow," explains Bill. "Andi is like Dread Pirate Kaulitz and me himself. And he has the same humor. It's very important to me that we can also laugh together." Always when the boys have a little time, they call their best friend: "We talk on phones almost everyday. I always have my family and friends on phone. I always stay by my cellphone," laughs Bill. And what do they talk about on the phone? "We only talk about the Band very seldom. Most of the time we blab about private stuffs. That way we can switch off the best." Visually he fits good to Tokio Hotel with his glaring blonde hair - and he plays an instrument, too : Drum. Then he could take Gustav's place some time, couldn't he? Dread Pirate Kaulitz disagrees: "He's simply more important for us as the best friend..."
World Conquerer!
Yesterday still Germany, today already in the whole wide world. Tokio Hotel is Germany's best band-export! At the MTV Music Awards in September in LA, they won the prize as "Best Newcomer" - as the first German Pop-act at all. They've won four further prizes at MTV Latin Awards in Mexico City, Mexico a month later ("Best international newcomer", "Song of the Year", "Best Fanclub" and "Best Ringtone"), and at Europe Music Awards in Liverpool, they won "Headliner of the Year!" Respect!
It seems really early to start especulating, but there are already some rumours about where this show will take place!
"The Show will take place in Berlin 2009. It's one of the bigges Music Spectacles of the World und in this year MTV wants the show to take place in the Capital of Germany! Tokio Hotel will be the opening Act of the Mega-Show!"
"This year the Europe Music Awards take place on the 5th of November in Berlin, the subject of the 20-year anniversery will be the the fall of the Berlin Wallim. And Bill Kaulitz will sing a song about it."
The whole band is also on #5 for Best of MuchOnDemand and on #8 of Top Rock '08 at MuchMusic!
Enjoy this huge update!
See ya guys! <3

To start this year very well, we have some pictures of Bill & Tom at their holidays! It is not confirmed, but it seems they're in Ibiza, Spain..and as you can see in the pictures, Bill has dreads!
They're probably temporary, but even so..here's the proof!

Have a nice day! <3
