This is usually how Gustav’s dinner table looks after he’s had a ravenous appetite and killed two kilos of strawberry ice-cream and a giant cake. It probably didn’t even occur to him that he would start a trend ... ;- ) Seriously, you don’t need to like this piece but it’s definitely a cool idea.

This week we found out how the Tokio twins dealt with school sucking and what Bill Kaulitz smells like. But I still had unanswered questions! I wanted to arrive at the intersection of Tokio Hotel and philosophy. And I was curious as to whether Tokio Hotel lived by any official motto or creed, like "Be awesome" or "Stay gold, Billy boy." So I asked them.
Turns out, no. Tokio Hotel makes the rules up as they go along, and the only rules are there are no rules. Well, that's basically what they said. More accurately, Bill and Tom Kaulitz, who are really good at giving advice, don't like getting advice. But what they do like is a little break. And a little nap near the ocean.
Check out part five of Buzzworthy's Tokio Hotel interview, and stay tuned to watch Tokio Hotel answer your Buzzworthy fan questions!

If you need some spooky stuff for Halloween you should get the latest issue of German mag INTRO [or join Gustav for a ride in his car!]. The theme is perfect for this time of year – it’s all about ghosts, monsters and scary stories. The cover turned out really great! It was done by someone who specializes in creating old school comics as well as old & cool looking movie posters. For Christmas I’ll give this cover as a giant poster to Bill as my present....so he can hang it up beside his bed, next to all the other pics of me that are covering the walls in his room ;-]

The Germans got the beat ;-D

Do you remember your reaction, when you saw the first part of Arthur and the Minimoys in the cinema and heard your voice?
I had to get used to hearing my own voice, because I don’t like this at all. That’s why I was very critical when it came to my work on the movie. But after a while I’ve also been very proud and thought: “Wow!”. I immediately remembered the days that I spent in the synchronisation-studio and how much work it was. But I also knew how much fun it was, so I could enjoy watching the result on the canvas.
Were you glad to lend your voice a second time to the little adventure, “Arthur and the Minimoys – The return of the bad M.”?
Of course, I was very excited. Synchronisation is still somewhat new for me, I’m not as familiar with it as singing. And when I saw the movie, I felt at home. Because of the first part I could relate to Arthur, and I really wanted to lend him my voice again. Somehow it’s also my movie – and I feel almost responsible for Arthur.
Did you know how the plot in the second part would continue?
No, I was really curious, mostly about how the relationship of Arthur and Selenia continues. That’s why the end of the movie surprised me, you don’t see it coming. Anyhow, the audience will have some new experiences with Arthur.
Would you say that Arthur changed?
He definitely grew up, mostly because of all the experiences he gathered in the first movie. For his young age, he already experienced a lot of wicked things. That’s probably what let him mature. Furthermore he also has a huge responsibility, after rescuing the Minimoys in the first part. He takes it very seriously, because he loves the Minimoys. And he also wants to protect Selenia, because he’s in love with her.
Do you have a favorite scene in the new movie?
One of my favorite scenes is definitely where Arthur and Selenia kiss for the first time. Arthur visits the Minimoys later then expected, and Selenia was already very sad. He’s scared that she’s disappointed and that she has a totally wrong picture of him. But he was always thinking of her, and worried about her. When they finally kiss, it’s a very intense scene – and you notice how madly in love they are with each other.
Do you run differently through the grass, now that you know that the Minimoys are living there?
Well, I’m not a nature freak, but in this case it’s not bad – I don’t have to accuse myself of ever hurting one of the Minimoys. That’s why I give you all a tip: Move into the cities and leave the Minimoys in the woods and under the meadows alone!
So, the world of those small beings is totally foreign to you?
In a way, yes. But anyway, because of the movies you get the sudden urge to experience being a Minimoy yourself. Suddenly you want to sleep in a flower too, or fly around with a ladybug. Such scenes turn Arthurs Adventure into a real experience.
Have a great day! <3

[...]Though they’re not thespians themselves, the guys in Tokio Hotel had some strong opinions about which scary movies should be remade, possibly with them in front of the camera. “You can remake ‘Saw’ !” frontman Bill Kaulitz laughed, explaining that he is only 20 and doesn’t know many older films. ” ‘Saw’ is really great. I saw all the ‘Saw’ movies!” Guitarist Tom Kaulitz’s pick? ” ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer.’ ” (In his defense, the title didn’t sound so silly when he uttered its translation in German.)
Tobin Bell is one man who has been front and bloody center in a scary movie — a bunch of them, in fact: the “Saw” franchise that Kaulitz so adores. But if he had the choice, Bell would take Shakespeare’s “Richard III” for a frightening ride. “I think that’d be fascinating,” he said, reasoning that while there have been many takes on the play, his would be the scariest. “I love the journey that he takes. He is one of the classic villains and conflicted people.” [...]

Bill Kaulitz says fans just need a Mohawk, some makeup and 'a leather jacket.'
Halloween is almost upon us, and there are several celebrities out there who would be perfect inspirations for your Halloween costume. Sure, you can dress like Bella and Edward from "Twilight," or you could even dress like Lady Gaga (more on that Friday). But how about teen-favorite rockers Tokio Hotel?
We caught up with TH's Tom and Bill Kaulitz to get their ideas for stepping into their shoes Saturday night. Bill said he has an easy look to copy, despite his glam exterior. All you need is a Mohawk, some makeup and fingerless gloves. "I think that's the easiest," he said of fans trying to emulate his look, adding that they'll also need "a leather jacket."
His brother, Tom, had some advice for aspiring Bills, making his brother laugh as he jokingly suggested: "Makeup, ugly face, ugly smile."
During an interview with the rockers last October, we surprised them with some Halloween candy after hearing that they were big fans of American sweets. "In Germany, we do not have Halloween, which is a shame. We do have some of this candy though," Bill laughed at the time, surveying the mounds of sweets before him. "We have M&Ms, we have these things here — Ritter Sport — and these too, [Kinder Surprise Eggs]. ... I'm not really into chocolate; I really love all the sour stuff. ... I just like the surprises [in the Kinder]."
It's Halloween Week, the spookiest time of the year and also the most fun. So as the leaves fall and it gets a bit colder, we here at MTV News decided to pay homage to the holiday by rounding up some of your favorite celebrities' Halloween memories and costume ideas — some even offer advice on how to dress up like them this year. So brace yourselves: You're in for one horrifying week!
Have a great day! <3

We've already seen how hardcore you Tokio Hotel fans can be for just a touch -- nay, a glimpse! -- of Bill, Tom, Gustav, and/or Georg. Case in point: Their live performance of "Automatic" on It's On With Alexa Chung on MTV, where fans practically had to be restrained from rushing the stage.
So what would Tokio Hotel do if they could somehow go incognito for just a day and manage not to be recognized? Bill Kaulitz would take his family and friends and do "normal things" like shop and get ice cream. And Tom Kaulitz would go to an amusement park. (Again!) Wee!
Plus, see how Tokio Hotel juggles vegetarianism with their love for burgers, AND the burning question, WHAT DOES BILL KAULITZ SMELL LIKE is answered... kinda... in this brand-new Buzzworthy interview with Tokio Hotel!

German rockers Tokio Hotel aren’t often in America and they rarely play acoustic, which makes their performance of “Automatic” in Rolling Stone’s New York offices earlier this week an extra special treat for the band’s loyal fans. “Automatic was one of the last songs we wrote for Humanoid,” Bill Kaulitz tells RS of the track off the band’s recently released album (their second English-language disc). “I got the idea for that song in the car. The song is about automatic feelings in a girl — she has no real love.” Click above to check out Bill and his brother Tom Kaulitz’s stripped-down version of the song.

Bill and Tom Kaulitz have made no attempt to hide the fact that school wasn't exactly their favorite place on earth, even though they won an award for distance learning, proving that sometimes smart people flourish outside of the classroom too. And I know a lot of you Tokio Hotel fans out there can relate. (But stay in school, okay? I didn't love school that much either, but I stuck with it, and LOOK AT ME NOW, MA! I GOT A JOB WRITING ABOUT TOKIO HOTEL!)
Anyway, I wanted to know if Bill and Tom had any advice for Tokio Hotel fans who are just trying to survive the school day -- so they can get home and listen to Humanoid and check Buzzworthy for Tokio updates (Yay! Enjoy this one!)
Tokio Hotel are real dudes and can see through a lot of media training 101 bull s++t a lot of artists automatically dish out. So when I asked Bill and Tom Kaulitz about how to get through school, Bill's response was totally straight-up and real about it: "Just close your eyes and do it... But it's always bad."
If you were expecting a canned, shiny, Miss America "save the world" response, Bill and Tom Kaulitz didn't give you one, but their answer was completely real, and whether or not they want to be role models, their fans look up to them. Their answer only made me respect them as down-to-earth guys even more.

After their global chart success, Tokio Hotel will soon take their number one album, HUMANOID, on a huge tour through Europe! From February 22nd 2010 on, their hit loaded science-fiction-rock-mash-up-opus will come alive in 32 cities. In the biggest arenas on the continent, a spectacular and brand new stage show will capture and amaze the audience. Just for this mega happening, Tokio Hotel teamed up with the avant-garde in stage design: Misty Buckley. Lead-singer and style icon Bill Kaulitz will visually put the show together with the twins Dan and Dean of international mega lable DSQUARED. They recently showed their skills by turning Britney Spears’ world tour "The Circus", which caused a stir, into a fascinating fashion runway. In addition to their new album HUMANOID, the four pioneers of young international rock will also perform some older hit tracks in the concert arenas of Europe.
On October 23rd and 24th a limited and exclusive ticket pre-sale will happen in collaboration with iTunes Europe. All remaining tickets will go on sale shortly after in each country. This is Tokio Hotel’s fourth European tour and the band is in the middle of the exciting planning and preparation phase of their "Welcome to HUMANOID CITY" Tour. It will be by far the most intricate and spectacular LIVE show Germany’s most successful international rock band Tokio Hotel has ever put together!

Tokio Hotel, German pop rock juggernaut, was in the office this week to talk about their new album, "Humanoid." Their arrival gave me a perfect excuse to kick off a brand new feature: The MTV Big Buck Challenge.
Here's the idea: Celebrities come into the MTV newsroom with frequent regularly. We give each celebrity the chance at one round of "Big Buck Safari," an arcade game which allows you to, well, shoot a variety of digital animals in the face. We then record that celebrity's score and see how it stands up against the rest of the participants. So, in theory, we'll be able to see how Snoop Dogg stacks up against Kristen Stewart in the realm of digital shotgun marksmanship.
That's the idea. Unfortunately our first attempt didn't go so well. There was a bit of a language barrier with the Tokio Hotel guys, and time was short, so we only got them messing around with the game before they unceremoniously quit. On the leader board they're listed as "DNF."
I did, however, manage to get this shot, which is definitely not a recommended method for success.

Tokio Hotel, the band from Magdeburg, don’t tolerate girls in their tourbus. “I hate this rule” says Tom Kaulitz about the rule to the music channel MTV. Bassist Georg Listing defends the arrangement. “The tourbus is the only private room that’s left for us. It’s a place to relax” he said. “And it’s really annoying if there’s someone screaming all the time.”

New Tokio Hotel Interview: Bill Kaulitz Speaks Out About His Style
Tokio Hotel Recall Their Craziest Fan Encounters
And now we open our mouth wiiiiide and swallow everything like a good boy.
A photo, which raises a lot of riddles…
Rockstar Bill Kaulitz (20) from Tokio Hotel, apparently wants to eat more after all those rumours about him suffering from anorexia. During a break of their Promotion Tour, for their new Album “Humanoid”, in Paris, the way too thin singer ate a lot of greasy crabs, and let himself get fed from his twin brother Tom (20) with fried squid rings.
Is this photo just a joke of the Band, or are they too worried about Bills health?
At the beginning of the week Bill shocked his Fans with his statement in BILD that he sometimes doesn’t eat a thing and only drinks some coffee.

Yesterday, Tokio Hotel met a runaway evil robot, and we learned that there is no Tokio Hotel sex tape, possibly to the chagrin of you bawdier fans out there.
In today's exclusive Buzzworthy Blog interview clip, I ask Bill Kaulitz about his ever-changing, always-glam style and what inspires all of his interesting iterations. Coyly, Bill expressed that no one but the man in the mirror and that Kaulitz inner voice matters when it comes to his often-imitated -- yet ultimately his own -- chameleon-like characteristics.
Plus, will Georg EVER cut his hair?

There's something very likeable about the boys from Tokio Hotel. They may be siblings and share the same screaming girl demographic as the JoBros, but the similarities stop there.
With no disrespect to Gustav or George (who sit quietly in the back row chiming in once in a while), most of the attention is commanded by the two brothers sitting up front, Bill and Tom Kaulitz. After all, they are the Noel and Liam of the group.
After talking about their latest offering Humanoid — which features a bigger, bolder and more electronic sound — we talked on the importance they place on being in control of their own image, music and lives.

In Bill's case, you might think he has the perfect frontman image for a pop-punk band that was cleverly devised by a room full of record label executives. But it was interesting to hear that the now-famous trademark spiky hair, eye make-up, leather jackets and chains are all his own creation. Since the beginning of their deal, Bill has turned down his label's offers to hire him a stylist. Instead, he prefers to stick to his guns and design, cut-up, make outfits and dress himself. A fan of fashion, Bill has aspirations to have his own line of clothing one day.
And then there's Tom. He too has a trademark look, and while Bill talks about hoping to one day meet his soul mate and fall in love, Tom is ... let's just say a little different, preferring to fall in love with a different girl each night.
It wasn't all groupie talk. We spoke about the sci-fi image around their new album and where it came from. We talked about what it was like being in one of the most popular bands around right now. While so many actors and artists complain about the fame, these guys love it, with Tom openly admitting that he wants more. But what choice do they have? The hopes of a normal life are well and truly out the window. There aren't many places in the world that they can go without getting mobbed by their fans. So when I asked them what was the last "normal" thing they did, I was a little surprised when Bill said it was when they rented out an entire theme park for a day. If that's a normal day with Tokio Hotel, I'd love to see what they do on a special day.
We look forward to seeing big things from Tokio Hotel in the future!
Check out the interview in full to see Tokio Hotel talking "Twilight," girls, crazy fans, style and Adam Lambert.

Caught! Bill Kaulitz (20) takes every chance to go shopping: when they stayed in Paris the Tokio Hotel singer escaped from his hotel room alone, to buy some black boots in a luxurious boutique! Who cares? One can never have enough shoes…
A dream! After Europe and the US, Tokio Hotel want to visit Japan in 2010. That’s a dream of Bill (20), and the rest of the Tokio Hotel Gang, since 5 years. Their Manager David Jost (37) payed a visit to Japan, to prepare everything for their conquest. He wants to put together a whole team that’s familiar with Japan, if it works. Cool!
BILLS SKINNY-MANIA: The fans are worried about Bill! The singer looks very skinny on the new pics. Is he anorexic? “Nonesense”, he laughs, “When I order a Pizza with some Salad, I spend most of the time in picking around in it. I still eat as much as I did in the past. I just grew a lot. It just distributed more evenly than at other people…”
BODYGUARDS FOLLOW THE BOYS ‘TIL THE RESTROOM: "That’s true“, says Bill "Our Bodyguards follow us ’til the restroom. But don’t worry, they wait in front of the cubicle.” Why? “You never know, anything could happen.” Because Tokio Hotel also have a lot of Haters and not just fans. “And our bodyguards are overpaid anyway”, the TH-Frontman grins, “and when I need to hide in a closet, they would still have to follow us.”
BILL KISSED A BOY: There are a lot of rumours about Bill in the internet, which state that he’s gay and that he once kissed a boy. “Nope, I never did that”, the 20-year old makes clear. “Of course it’s not right. I’m not gay, that’s total nonesence – but at least it’s funny.”
TOKIO HOTEL JUST VIVIST CLUBS WHEN THEY’VE GOT A VIP-AREA: "That’s a thing that I’m not proud of",says Bill “I would love to visit places like a normal guy, but it’s just not possible anymore.” That’s why Tokio Hotel often get a VIP-Area, to party in peace. “Georg sometimes secretly smuggles onto the dancefloor.”, says Tom. “We others don’t dance that often – but the next time, when we celebrate our Album ranking on #1 of the charts, then I’ll dance.”
EVERYONE OF THE TH-BOYS IS A MILLIONAIRE! Are Bill, Georg, Gustav and Tom really that rich? “No, that’s not true”, Bill makes clear, “Perhaps in the Polish zloty”, Georg laughs. 1 Million Zloty would be 237.700 Euro. Not bad…
GUSTAV ONLY RIDES THE BIKE: "True, because I’m overweight”, Gustav jokes around. But then Bill reveals the real reason: “He lost his license. He crashed into a tram in Madgeburg last year. Now his license is gone.“ Then the singer jokes around: “Now he’s just allowed to drive in a Bobbycar. He can already really good at steering it.” When will Gustav get his license back? “Maybe in one or two years”, Tom laughs maliciously.
TOM HAD SEX WITH MORE THAN 200 GIRLS: "I don’t want to deny this“, says Tom “But the fact with the 200 was already known years ago”, he laughs it off. Did he count? “Hmm…maybe it were just around 198.“ Does he remember every face? “Yup, definitely.”
BILL SLEEPS WITH 4 DOGS IN HIS BED: "Not with all of them at the same time”, says the TH-Singer. “But it happens rather often that one of them is allowed to sleep with me in my bed – when the dog behaved very well.” And how doest this look? “They really slip under my blanket – like stuffed animals. They accomodate exactly to my sleeping position and are very sweet.”
TOKIO HOTEL WATCH PORN SECRETLY: "I rather direct them“, Tom laughs. “Just joking! But yes, from time to time we watch some. There are a lot of funny Pages in the WWW. You have to know what your neighbours do when you turn your back on them”, he says. “But we think it’s rather funny. We watch funny and disgzstung movies together…!”
BILL IS IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH HIS STYLIST: There are a lot of rumours about Bill being in a relationship with his stylist: “No, that’s not true! I’m single.”, Bill makes clear. “And the girl that sings “Geisterfahrer” with me, isn’t my girlfriend as well. I don’t want to reveal who it is, just so much: she’s not known!”
BILL IS ADDICTED TO LUXURY: “It depends on how you define luxury. When it means that I need more than Water and Bread in our backstage-area then yes”, he explains. “Holidays are the biggest luxury that I spent money on”, he says, “when I travel in private then I want to be as comfortable as possible – with a good Hotel included which is far far away. That’s what I spent my most money on.”
GEORG IS STINGY: "Georg is really stingy. He sleeps 10 nights until he decides if he buys something or not.”, Bill reveals. “Even when it’s just a bag with gummy worms”, Tom claims. “Once we visited him at home, and there were a lot of candles burning. Why? He didn’t want to turn on the heater. He spends 2 days in a row at home – so it wouldn’t be worth it.” According to Bill, Georg even washes his dishes with his bath water…
Have a nice day! <3

At the moment they’re still on top of the charts, but on friday there’s the big chart-crash for Tokio Hotel!
As “media control” announces, Bill Kaulitz & Co. fall from #1 on #25 in the german Album-Charts. Their new record “Humanoid” fell down 24 places! And “Automatisch” made it to #34 in the 5th week after the singles’ release.
For a Band which is used to the success, it’s a pretty big disappointment!
Fact: The boys spent a lot of months abroad. Tokio Hotel has a huge fanbase all over the world. Especially in the US the band spent a lot of time, and had some appearances in pretty popular MTV Latenight-shows.
Also Europe loves Tokio Hotel: the UK, Spain (where Humanoid ranked on #2), Italy, Greece – those are just a few countries where the boys are greeted with screaming girls.
The german Fans are sticked to the band since their success began. Do they feel neglected? This big crash in the charts could indicate it.

'We are really thankful that the fans like it,' added frontman Bill Kaulitz of their recently released album.
Tokio Hotel recorded Humanoid in exactly the kinds of places you'd expect a globally successful rock act to record a new album: glossy, flossy destinations like Miami and Los Angeles, to name just two. But they also worked on the album in a tiny studio outside of Hamburg, Germany ... because deep down, past the makeup and the massively devoted fanbase, they're just four small-town kids who have made it impossibly big.
Sometimes people forget that ... the guys in Tokio Hotel included. Because, to be honest, it's often difficult not to.
"We recorded a lot of stuff in a small village where we have a studio. It's near Hamburg, so it's a real quiet place. That was really important," TH frontman Bill Kaulitz said. "I think the third record is the hardest one. Everyone is talking about that, so we are really thankful that the fans like it, and, yeah, I think we went into the studio and wrote and ignored the all pressure and everything. That was really important. And the time was important. That we had time and no deadlines."
"It was important to have a lot of time, time to hang out," his brother, guitarist Tom, added. "A week with nothing but to hang out."
The time was key. Because by their own admission, even Tokio Hotel were getting a bit sick of Tokio Hotel — of the screaming fans and the globe-trotting tours. Sick of playing the same crowd-approved hits. They need to be away from it all, to grow and develop and become a new band. And Humanoid is the end result of that evolution.
"We were on tour for the last record for such a long time and we were really tired of the songs and of our faces and of the name Tokio Hotel. We really wanted to do new things. It was really time for us to go into the studio and write songs and be creative," Bill said. "I think we had great concerts, and it was really, really cool to see the fans and be onstage, but we really wanted new stuff. I recorded 'Monsoon' when I was 13 years old, and last year we were onstage with that song, so it was time for new stuff."
Hence, Humanoid's focus on futurism and the expanded use of electronics. It's an album that showcases, as Bill put it, "A new sound-world for Tokio Hotel." Which is why Bill and Tom decided to handle the project every step of the way — a level of involvement that went way beyond the co-producer credit they share in the album's liner notes.
"You're involved in everything," Tom sighed. "In every single step. We were in the studio 365 days in a row."
But Tokio Hotel's evolution didn't come easy: There were disagreements along the way, about the new direction of the band, about the focus of the music. And, as one would expect in a group with two brothers, there was a fair share of brawling, too. Though, given that they laughed about those brawls during our interview, we think it's safe to assume there are no hard feelings. This is the new Tokio Hotel, after all.
"I think you need that. You need fights. And we fought a lot," Tom smiled. "And sometimes I just punch [Bill] in the face, and I love that. And he loves that. We all love that."
Bye! <3

It's been a veritable monsoon of MTV/ Tokio Hotel love since Tokio Hotel stepped into the building today around 11:30! They soundchecked for their live performance of "Automatic" on It's On With Alexa Chung, which practically stopped the show, I interviewed them for MTV Buzzworthy Blog AND asked them your MTV Buzzworthy Blog fan questions, I rode a very crowded elevator with Tokio while fans poured into the MTV studios, shrieking and crying, AND yet, in the midst of chaos, Bill and Tom Kaulitz still found time to engage in one of their favorite activities -- playing ping pong.
Check out this video of of Bill and Tom engaging in a heated ping pong match backstage before It's On With Alexa Chung. And stay tuned for tons more Tokio Hotel Buzzworthy interviews, Tokio Hotel photos, and the full-length performance from It's On With Alexa Chung.
Last year I interviewed Tokio Hotel around Halloween, and I brought them Halloween candy.
This year, I wanted to change things up a little bit, so I brought Tokio Hotel some Halloween toys, props, and costumes -- police sunglasses, temporary tattoos, a neon yellow clip-in hair extension in case anyone wanted to quickly make a hairstyle change on the go, some Twilight conversation hearts, and an old-tymey wind-up toy robot as an "Automatic"-ish present. (Get it?) Well, it turns out the robot basically had a mind of its own and almost commandeered the interview. Thankfully Bill and Tom jumped in and used their Humanoid powers, if you will, to stop the robot and save the Buzzworthy Blog interview. No, this isn't Tokio Hotel fan fic. I swear I'm not making this up. I ACTUALLY HAD AN ENCOUNTER WITH TOKIO HOTEL AND A REAL ROBOT.
Watch the first part of MTV Buzzworthy Blog's exclusive Tokio Hotel interview to watch Tokio Hotel open their Halloween presents and answer question #1 -- What's one thing you've never been caught on camera doing? Tokio's answer: "We don't have a sex tape." (Good answer, boys!)
Could you ask for a better performance from Tokio Hotel than the live version of "Automatic" from today's episode of It's On With Alexa Chung on MTV? Well, maybe a full-length Tokio Hotel show, but a live Tokio Hotel performance is a close second. And you fans in the Alexa audience were so hardcore you almost stopped the show! Bam! HUUUUGE!
Missed Tokio Hotel on It's On With Alexa Chung today? Wait... no you didn't... Well, for all you international Tokio Hotel fans (and I know you're out there), check out these inTENSE photos of Tokio Hotel performing on MTV today. And watch Tokio Hotel perform "Automatic" live on MTV.
The guys of Tokio Hotel had an extremely busy day yesterday. They dropped by MTV studios for a photoshoot, performance on Alexa Chung and fan interview with our friends over at MTV Buzzworthy. All that is enough to leave you looking worn and awful when it’s about time to leave. But worn and awful seemed to escape lead singer Bill Kaulitz. What was left was sheer awesomeness.
Dressed in black from head to toe, Bill walked out onto the streets of MTV looking every bit of the glam pop star he is. This look would normally land someone in the ultra dry jailhouse but for Bill? It’s…Super Moist!

Germany's most successful Rockband “Tokio Hotel” are having international success: every day traveling, stress, concerts, screaming fans…
But is the success also good for Bill Kaulitz (20) private life, the singer of the band? Since his performence at “Wetten, dass..?” 2 weeks ago, fans are worried about him because he became very skinny.
They are talking about anorexia!
Sebastian K. from Dortmund writes: “Bill looks sick. If you compare Kate Moss to him, she’s a fat pig.”
Julia from Bremen: “Bill should take more time to eat.”
Stephanie from Wiesbaden: "I hope Bill isn’t anorexic.”
BILD confronted Bill with the rumours. We got to know alarmingly facts about the way he eats! "Sometimes I don’t eat for a whole day and just drink coffee”, Bill said.
How much does he weigh? “I don’t know, I don’t weigh myself.” Does he has problems with eating? “No, I just sometimes forget to eat. But the next day I’m eating normal again.”
Doctors are saying that his nutrition isn’t normal at all. Dr. Ulrich Rau from the “expert centre for wrong nutrition” in Bad Oeynhausen: “Bill looks underweight, his eating behavior isn’t good for his health. He should get help.”

TV4 interview
Stockholm, Sweden - 08.09.09
»» Interview ««
With “Humanoid” Tokio Hotel are back again musically and they immediately took over the top of the german Albumcharts. Radio Köln talked to the 4 boys and inn-joy has an exclusive preview of the Interview, which you can listen to on sunday the 18th of October at Radio Köln.
When was the last time that you had the chance to sleep in?
Bill: That was definitely a while ago. I can’t even remember the last time. Now that the new Album is out, our sleeping times are limited and we spend a lot of time on the road. But we really sleep wherever we are, in the car, on the airplane and wherever we can.
Do you have a special relationship with Cologne or do you have a special connection with cities like Hamburg, Magdeburg etc.? Or is there no favorite city that you have?
Tom: Bill and I never had an attachment to a city. We feel at home at places where our family and especially our dogs are. Therefore it could also be some hotel room or any city…. But cologne is defenitely great, we played some good concerts here and I had some great Sex in Cologne – I think it’s beautiful here….
Okay… great Sex here in Cologne, that’s – of course – the main and core message. We heard that there’s gonna be a big tour next year. Can you already reveal something? Can we give the fans some hope?
Bill: Yes, we’re currently planning our Tourdates. We have two new partners, which we are working with, a new Booking and Production Agency. And the tour will be long, a lot of dates are planned – of course also some in Germany. We can’t tell you anything in particular, because not everything is clear, but it’s gonna be a big tour.
A question for Gustav. Gustav dyed his hair black, right?
Gustav: Dark brown…
Is this acute?
Gustav: To what extent ‘acute’?
Is your hair still black? We can’t keep track of it everyday.
Gustav: No, it’s still black.
Tom: Actually, it should turn out dark brown…
Gustav: It’s dark brown.
Tom: …but you can’t really keep those two colors apart.
Okay, we’ll take care of this the next time. An important question, regarding Bill’s hairstyle. We’re interested in it, because: Is it a spontaneous idea, today I’ll wear my hair short or long, or do you plan it – just, how does it come together at the end?
Bill: I actually do it quite spontaneously, just like I want it, like everyone else does it everyday. It’s a little piece of freedom that you have. I feel different every day, that’s why I decide such things spontaneously.
Still don’t have enough? – You can read 'More Of It’ on sunday the 18th of October at 7 p.m. (German time) at www.radiokoeln.de. Tune in and listen to what Bill, Tom, Gustav and Georg had to say.
Pottschalk in an Interview with Tokio Hotel?! Where’s such a thing? In the Radio! To be exact, at the Cologne Youth Radio-Magazine “Noch mehr davon” (engl.: More of it) and there he, as the Co-Host, was allowed to ask the 4 boys from Magdeburg some questions. But first of I had to admit to myself, that I was so nervous, I didn’t even know what to ask them. That’s why I let my Colleague talk most of the time. I thought, ‘Shit, such a perfect opportunity and you’ve got no ideas.’ What should I ask them?! “Hey Bill, hows your friend?!” Nope, boring! Furthermore, people already asked him this question a million times. That’s where this idea came from:
“Is there a question which you were never asked?”
“We don’t know," the boys said, "but I think there aren’t a lot left which were never asked – I think we’ve already been asked almost every question.”
Aha, almost every question, Pottschalk thought to himself. Let’s see if I can find something which no one dared to ask yet. Since the Interview-Situation was very relaxed, I pressed ahead boldly and said: “Okay, now I’ve got an impossible question, which you sure were never asked before….”
Their answer: "Laughter….Such a question from a boy? We surely never heard of it!…”
What’s the question and the most important thing, what’s their complete answer Pottschalf?! In the end there were 2 questions, and you’ll get your answers tomorrow. Until then you have enough time to speculate ;-)

And what would a Tokio trip to MTV be without BUZZWORTHY FAN QUESTIONS? Got questions for Bill, Tom, Gustav, and/or Georg? After a whirlwind few months of recording Humanoid in Germany and Los Angeles, traveling to South Africa to shoot their "Automatic" video, doing press in Paris and juggling wine glasses in Madrid (I discovered I'm terrified of El Hormiguero puppets), and gold records in Greece for Scream and Humanoid, Bill Kaulitz FINALLY got to meet his favorite band!

Köln – What many others dream of, "Tokio Hotel" has created: In only four years Bill, Tom (both), Georg (22) and Gustav (21) rocked themselves from a Magdeburg suburb to worldwide superstars. They are addicted to success – watch "100 Percent Tokio Hotel" Saturday. (RTL, 22.15 o’clock)
“Our mother knew us always immediately, our names stood only on the pullovers“, remember the twins Bill and Tom of their childhood. But this changed at the age of nine years: They coloured the hair, got piercings, carried freaky things. Impossible for the 650 resident Loitsche! "We were treated with hostility. Our stepfather had to accompany us with a baseball bat and a dog.“
At that time hip hop freak Tom reached for the first time to the guitar, vampire fan Bill started to write: "We always wanted only to make music." Then as 12 year-olds, they searched on a Magdeburg stage for band members, found their band partners of today Gustav and Georg. They applied for “StarSearch” 2003 and were discovered by Hamburg producers: "Living there was like a holiday, making songs – cool without parents there."
Then according to the burst contracts everything fits in 2005: Their hit "Durch Den Monsun" shot to number 1 on the charts: "When the video ran for the first time, I taped it because I thought I’d never see it again on television“, says Bill.
Then nothing more is as it was: Besieged by fans and reporters at school, at home, everywhere. "We lived since that time secludedly, hotels are our home, the band is our family“, says Gustav.
"Nevertheless, we want to have more of it“, say Bill and Tom. "An end is not in view. We want to fly, higher and higher and as long as we continue.“
Have a nice day! <3

Translation:
Their childhood has so far been a well kept secret. Never before, have Tokio Hotel let us come this close. Bill and Tom have always been inseparable, what would later become a problem.
B: I think this was really formative, the fact that we looked exactly the same for a while. That’s when it started that we wanted to get dressed on our own.
The Kaulitz twins developed their unique style, which was not received well at all in their home town Loitsche.
T: He has red shoe laces, communist bastard!
The other kids didn’t ever leave off the twins, and even their family was worried about them.
B: Our step-dad sometimes had to pick us up with the dog and a baseball bat.
But it’s not just the other kids who did not accept Bill.
B: There were teachers at school who told me, “I’m not teaching you the way you look” and “You can’t come to gym class with make-up and piercings”.
The success of today proves them right. Their look is almost like a trademark. Their experiences with mobbing has marked them and won’t let them go overboard even during their biggest success.
B: In such moments you realise how big this whole thing has become. And sometimes you really can hardly breathe. Sometimes I think *phew*.
They’re either loved or hated, the Tokio Hotel boys had to learn that early on. Still, they don’t want anyone to rain on their parade. After all, this is what they have fought for years.
Have a nice day! <3

For the first time Bill and Co. talk about the dark side of their success.
They are the most successful german Rockband ever. The Girls love them and their new Album immediately ranked on #1 in the Album charts. The four guys from the introspective Magedburg achieved everything they ever dreamed of.
But for the first time the celebrated Superstars talk about the dark side of their sudden success. “I always used to watch other artists and thought: ‘Damn, they are living a wicked life, they have money (…), are throwing parties and live a luxurious life’ – but that’s not even near to how it really is’”, says Tom in a documentary which will be aired soon.
It’s impossible for Tokio Hotel to live a normal life. They are constantly under the custody of their bodyguards and can’t even go out on their own. “You’re living an extremely withdrawn life. You don’t really get to hear a lot from what’s happening in the world. When we want to go out, we always have to take Securitys with us or it has to be planned beforehand (…) you can’t be on your own any longer.”
However, despite of this limitation in their (no longer existing) Private life, the four are happy about their success. “It’s my life, my dream, my one and only – and the three other guys are my best friends”, sayst bassist Georg.

Hot Kitchen-Boys!
It’s getting hot in here! Bill, Tom, Gustav and Georg tried themselves as cooks and put together a strange sauce! BRAVO shows you the funny pictures…
Caution, hot and greasy! The Tokio Hotel Boys proved themselves as cooks in the spanish TV-Show “El Hormiguero”. In front of the presenter Pablo Motos [44], Bill [20], Tom [20], Gustav [21] and Georg [22] cooked Pasta á la Tokio Speciale – Noodles with a strange Sauce.
Therefore the rockers stirred a lot of Ketchup, Mustard, Milk raw Onions and red Pepperonis into a pan. When the presenter tasted the the horrible sauce, he was very enthusiastic. But did he really like the stale noodles and the extremely sharp sauce? Hardly. At least the horrible food was meatless – because that’s how the animal loving Twins Bill and Tom [they have 4 dogs: 2 Dachshund, 1 Doberman-Labrador mongrel and 1 German Shorthair] love their food.
“We are vegetariens”, Bill revealed in a BRAVO-Interview. “We simply like food without meat. Our favorite dish is Pasta with Tomato-Cream-Sauce and Pizza. You don’t really need meat in those dishes.” The Twins even gave up on their beloved Burgers: “It’s very gard, but we’ll get through this”, Tom assures us.
Even Georg joins them: “I mostly eat vegetarian too – there’s enough of vegetarian food on Tour”, tells us the bassist. Gustav is the only one who isn’t fond of vegetables: “I don’t like it and I won’t adapt myself”, the drummer clarifies. Tom isn’t surprised by his stubbornness: “For breakfast Gustav already eats 15 strips of bacon!”

Nearly three years after their last success "Zimmer 483", the quartet Tokio Hotel has released a new album early this month, "Humanoid". On this occasion, the group was passing through Paris to tell us about the design of this opus.

When Tokio Hotel get back on the front of the stage, it isn't for nothing. While the quartet, currently the most famous in Germany, is promoting his new album "Humanoid", the group has also launched a virtual tour for their European fans.
Why virtual? Because Billy, Tom, Georg and Gustav are not physically on stage. These are holograms that their fans see and hear through a box in 3D show filmed in Hamburg in September. Showcase now presented in 7 countries and 12 cities in Europe.
In France, this virtual tour of Tokio Hotel began October 12 in Mulhouse. It will continue at Eragny-sur-Oise October 16, and Rosny-sous-Bois October 28, with the exclusive presence of the group on that day.

Humanoid
Bill Kaulitz - #11
See ya guys! <3
After having surgery on his vocal cords last spring, Tokio Hotel singer Bill Kaulitz is ready to roar again. The German band’s new album is called “Humanoid,” but that has more to do with the music within than any medical improvements made on Kaulitz’s pipes.
The new album is different from their previous ones, says the singer: “We have tried new things and taken our time. There is a lot of pre-recording and a little more electronic. But it is still rock, of course.”
Are you afraid fans will find the new music too different?
I get the feeling people either love or hate you.
Why did people hate you when you were young?
Fixing the scream
“It was awful to let the fans down the way we did,” says Kaulitz about having to cancel 2008 tour plans for his surgery. "It’s one of the worst things you can do as a singer.”
Tokio Hotel promises a big tour in 2010 to make it up to fans.
“I feel good,” says Kaulitz of his current condition. “Everything is like it was before.”
Tokio Hotel: Teen idols
You can say what you will about Tokio Hotel's music or appearance, but one thing's for sure: The four boys from Magdeburg are incredibly successful with what they do and fill concert halls around the world. Recently, the band has tried to show its more mature side. Other than "Bird of Paradise" Bill, the rest of the musicians now almost seem overly conventional. Their new album - in both German and English - is likely to stay at the tops of the charts for weeks.

LONDON (Billboard) - Sometimes, much weirder things happen at the MTV Video Music Awards than Kanye West interrupting an acceptance speech.
Take the 2008 VMAs ceremony, for example, when the A-list glamour of Hollywood's Paramount Studios red carpet was upset by the entrance of four teenage cyborgs with preposterous hair who stood atop an enormous monster truck. Emblazoned with their band name in foot-high letters, the truck was the cyborgs' not particularly subtle way of telling America what the rest of the planet already knew: Tokio Hotel had arrived.
So far, so Eurotrash gate-crasher. Tokio Hotel -- a curious electro-Goth-glam-emo boy band that had climbed no higher than No. 39 on the Billboard 200 -- had what seemed a token nomination in the fan-voted best new artist category. It was up against the creme de la creme of U.S. female pop: Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Jordin Sparks and Taylor Swift. The likelihood of Tokio Hotel winning seemed about equal to that of Satan ice skating to work the next day.
"We were at the awards watching it outside on a massive screen," recalls Martin Kierszenbaum, chairman of Tokio Hotel's U.S. label, Cherrytree Records, as well as president of A&R for pop/rock at Interscope and head of international operations for Interscope Geffen A&M. "I was half-distracted because I didn't really expect them to win -- it just seemed a little ... hopeful. But they announced it and suddenly (Interscope marketing executive) Bob Johnsen just punched me as hard as he could on the arm. Boom!"
The band and most of the audience were similarly dumbstruck. Yet no one saw the need to interrupt singer Bill Kaulitz -- the one who looks like a cross between a Bratz doll and a cockatoo -- during his incredulous acceptance speech.
"To be honest, it would have been a good moment if someone had come onstage," Kaulitz reminisces a year later. "I was onstage at the VMAs and I was speechless."
"We got very drunk," says his twin brother, guitarist Tom, with a laugh -- he's the one who looks like a cross between Predator and a Jonas Brother.
The next day, they weren't the only ones suffering.
"Man, I had a charley horse from that night," Kierszenbaum says with a laugh. "But I'll take a charley horse any day if it means winning an award."
SWEEPING THE CONTINENT
Formed in the East German town of Magdeburg, the band -- which also features bassist Georg Listing and drummer Gustav Schafer, the two who look like they've come to fix the Kaulitz brothers' car and computer, respectively -- began playing under the name Devilish in 2001.
A deal with Sony BMG followed. But Tokio Hotel was dropped in 2005, when the members were just 15 -- a decision that, in pure commercial terms, is starting to compare to Decca's rejection of the Beatles. Undeterred, the twins signed with Universal Music Germany and quickly became a hot property with their 2005 German-language debut, "Schrei."
And there, frankly, the story should stop. German-language pop music is right up there with English cuisine as a concept that doesn't travel. Not since Nena's 1983-84 hit "99 Luftballons" -- cited by Bill as a formative influence -- had songs with umlauts made it beyond the Maginot Line.
Yet "Schrei" didn't just reach No. 1 in Germany and Austria and top three in Switzerland. It hit the top 10 in Greece, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Poland and, almost unprecedentedly, No. 12 in France -- a country that regards German pop music in much the same way that it looked at George Bush -- while peaking on Billboard's European Top 100 Albums chart at No. 5.
The follow-up, 2007's "Zimmer 483," did even better, peaking on the European Top 100 Albums chart at No. 4. It hit No. 1 in Germany and No. 2 in France; went top 10 in Austria, Switzerland, Greece, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Poland; and charted everywhere from Finland to Italy. The band even performed in Tel Aviv -- a rarity for German-speaking artists -- after Israeli fans launched a petition demanding a concert.
"It was strange," Tom says with a shrug, "but cool. Our fans started to learn German so they could sing along."
KNOCKING DOWN THE LANGUAGE BARRIER
Time that the twins might have used to contemplate this puzzle they instead devoted to learning English, in a bid to conquer the countries that hadn't yet embraced the group's cyber-Goth persona.
In 2007, Tokio Hotel released its first English-language album, "Scream," featuring songs from the first two German albums sung in English. It has sold 175,000 U.S. copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan, spending 21 weeks on the Billboard 200. It was also a hit across Europe, bringing the band's first top 10 success in Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden and Flanders. The French sent it to No. 6.
Tokio Hotel's new album, "Humanoid," came out almost simultaneously around the world -- October 2 in Germany and continental Europe, October 6 in the United States -- in both German and English versions.
In the United States, a Best Buy exclusive version of the album will feature the German album alongside the English one in a two-CD package. This time the band recorded two versions of every song at once.
"It's not a one-to-one translation this time," Tom says. "The songs are around the same topic, but we had to view them as different things, really."
"We're working twice as hard as any other band," Bill says with a laugh. "I feel comfortable with the English versions this time. I'm a perfectionist, so the first English record was very hard for me. I don't want to sound like a German guy trying to sing in English."
SCI-FI TECHNO-ROCK
The band will be in the United States October 10-19.
In Europe, such is the devotion of the group's rabid fan base -- mainly hyperventilating teenage girls and intense emo types -- that the Kaulitz brothers can no longer have a quiet drink.
"It's not a job for me," Bill says with a shrug. "It's my life. Tokio Hotel is (an extension of) my personality, and the whole look comes from that."
"It's totally cool that he gets all the attention," jokes Tom, who bickers good-naturedly with his brother. "As long as I get more girls than him."
Tokio Hotel's global sales are now at 3.5 million copies, plus 1 million DVDs, according to Universal. The international scope of the band's marketing campaign is obvious, and the act's official Web site is available in 11 languages.
"Success is like a drug," Bill says.
Best not to book that holiday just yet, though. If anyone can make the Brits love German pop music, it's Tokio Hotel.

DORTMUND Bill Kaulitz (21), singer of the band “Tokio Hotel”, is known for his extravagant Style. In the TV Show “Wetten, dass…” the singer recently wore a black patent leather belt. Fashion made in Dortmund.
An unique belt, which wasn’t made in the fashion capitals Milan, London or Paris – according to Radio 91.2 it was handmade from a goldsmith in Dortmund. At his appearance in the show “Wetten dass…” on saturday, the 20-year old wore the black patent leather belt, where not just his initials “BK” can be seen, also the name of the new Album “Humanoid”. Reinold Willeke, Goldsmith since 40 years, was watching the show full of anticipation. “Of course I wanted to know whether he’ll wear it or not.”, says the goldsmith that lives in Wambel.
Bill Kaulitz is very demanding
The result is a sturdy buckle, which has the initials of the singer on it. Eight inches tall and twelve inches wide. On the belt you can also read the word “Humanoid”, the name of the on friday (2nd October) released and at “Wetten dass…” presented Album.
He liked the belt

[...]Also out this week: Tokio Hotel’s Humanoid, the disappointing follow-up to their English-language debut Scream. As Jody Rosen says in his Zwei-star review (that’s two for non-German speakers), Humanoid “is melodically anemic and strangely low-key.” Seemingly overnight, singer Bill Kaulitz has lost all the charisma that made Tokio Hotel one of Europe’s most popular bands.

Tokio Hotels wicked confession! Alcohol, Pot and Pills! The shocking confession of the Tokio Hotel Twins Bil and Tom…
Madness! This confession shocks the fans: The Tokio Hotel Twins Bill and Tom [both 20] look absolutely innocent with their doe eyes – but they aren’t! The superstars confess: “Yes, we took drugs!” Tom tells Bravo: “It was stupid of us to do this! We started to experiment very early at the age of 13. We had some friends who were older than us, we hung out with them a lot in the park.”
It was this clique who seduced Bill and Tom in their hometown Loitsche [near Magdeburg] to take drugs. “It sometimes happened that we drank a lot of alcohol, smoked pot and smashed some colorful pills out of boredom!” When at the same time the boys always said that they would never take drugs!
And how is it today? Do Bill and Tom still take drugs? “No, this time is long gone! It was just a phase. It’s all in the past now”, Bill told Bravo. And alcohol isn’t a topic anymore. “Sometimes I would love to drink some alcohol, but it absorbs too much energy”, the Tokio Hotel Frontman explains.
“Our Tours are always so long, and in the meantime it’s more important for me to feel comfortable on stage and to give 100%. It’s more important for me, than to stand at a Party with a drink in the hand a night before a concert.” Furthermore Bill and Tom don’t want to end up like other Stars, who can’t get a hold of their drug addiction.
That’s why it fits with the fact that they aren’t meeting up with their old friends from their former life: “We’re very seldom in Magdeburg”, Bill reveals. “Recently we were there because of a Birthday, but we don’t miss to spend time there.” After their latest TV show appearance at “Wetten Dass…?” in Freiburg, Tokio Hotel are already on the move abroad to promote their new CD “Humanoid” [02.10.2009].
Especially in Italy: At a Fan-Party in Milan the girls in the audience screamed so loud, that Tokio Hotel couldn’t even utter a single word. After a few minutes the action had to be cancelled. But because of such wicked memories with their fans, the boys don’t need drugs anymore: “Success is our drug. It’s an addiction!”, says Bill. “Because it’s so much fun. We write and record new Songs constantly and then we want to go on tour immediately. We live our dream.” And they don’t want to destroy it because of a drug addiction.

100% Scream-Factor – the german fans are probably looking forward as eagerly to the third Album of the Magdeburger Megastars Tokio Hotel, as to no other Album. Even though their favorites are now thinking more globally and about a lot of other categories: After “Schrei” and “Zimmer 483? the quartett wants to shake-up the international Market with “Humanoid”. The Twins, singer Bill and guitarist Tom Kaulitz, which celebrated their 20th Birthday at the beginning of September, are convinced that it will work. In an interview they talk about freedom, the wisdom of being older and the hatred that some people feel towards them.
teleschau: You’re releasing your Album also in English. Do you have your international breaktrough in mind?
teleschau: Actually you don’t even have to sing in English anymore, do you? Your Fans abroad already take german lessons because of you…
teleschau: You spent a year working on new Songs. People say that it took so long because Bill always found some long forgotten songidea notes in his pockets…
teleschau: Paper? Aren’t you a “Digital-Generation”, which saves its notes on their mobile?
teleschau: You flew to South-Africa to shoot the video for your new single “Automatisch”, where you drove in some cool sport cars. A dream come true?
teleschau: A part of your success is based on your look. Bill, recently you had a photoshooting with the fashion-guru Karl Lagerfeld. Isn’t it strange, when somebody who could be your grandfather, likes your look?
teleschau: You celebrated your 20th Birthday in the Heidepark Soltau, but you actually wanted to have a “Coffee Party with 60 year olds”. You were joking, weren’t you?
teleschau: The pensioner-couple from “TV total”?
teleschau: What did you talk about?
teleschau: You already got to know the dark side of fame: There were some pushy Fans, you had to move often and then there was Tom’s fight at the gas station and the beating attack against Gustav. A lot of unpleasent headlines.

Tokio Hotel still weren’t in Tokio, but they spent a year out of the public eye. In the interview with SPIEGEL-ONLINE Bill and Tom Kaulitz talk about their life as Popstars, the new Album and the problem of being fed-up with themselves.
SPIEGEL ONLINE: Some of the new Songs on your Album “Humanoid” are – again – about a vague longing, an inner turmoil of living between two worlds. Do you think that there are also some older people who can identify with this topic?
SPIEGEL ONLINE: What do you say to the accusation, that you have to live through a few relationships that failed, to sing about one?
SPIEGEL ONLINE: Go ahead.
SPIEGEL ONLINE: Bill, 2006, on a TV Show on ProSieben, people voted for you as the “Most annoying German”. Do things like these hurt?
SPIEGEL ONLINE: Your new CD “Humanoid” sounds more opulent, grown-up and better produced than the first two records. How much did you, and how much did your Team contribute to the Album?
SPIEGEL ONLINE: Retrospectively, is there something that you don’t like anymore on “Schrei” and “Zimmer 483??
SPIEGEL ONLINE: With your band name alone you awake associations with the J-Pop, Visual Kei and Far Eastern Glam. Have you ever been to Tokio and maybe also in the district Harajuku, where all the Cosplayer and Gothic-Freaks meet up?

I: Girls and boys, the ones of you that would die to be at my place, raise your hands. Basically everyone! Bill, Tom, Georg and Gustav: Tokio Hotel. Thanks for being here.
I: So another question for you from Gerardo, as we don’t just have girls’ questions here. Bill, don’t you think the electronic sound you’ve worked with in Humanoid penalizes your voice a bit, compared to the previous albums?
I: Federica. She’d like to speak of love. How should a girl be to catch your attention immediatley? Not just phisically. What hits you the most, in a girl?
I: If each of you could choose to be the singer, or guitarist, or bassist or drummer of another band, for one day. Which band would it be? Also from the past.
I: Your career: were you not musicians, what kind of job would you be doing? Don’t you ever think about a different life?
I: Something curious: Bill, Ludovica says you have a tattoo saying: we’ll neve stop screaming, we’ll go back to the origins. What origins are those? Have you reached them yet, or how far are you from getting to them?
I: This one is very cute. Alessia says: Bill, you once said that during the concerts it’s like all the girls became one, screaming and singing along with you. Well, what is that girl like? How do you picture her in your mind?
I: Lost of fans are asking us if a new tour is going to start, and if so, what italian cities are you gonna visit?

A “Diamond Record” in France, a Newcomer-Prize at the MTV Video Music Awards in L.A., four Awards at the MTV Latin Music Awards in Mexico. The success story of Tokio Hotel, in the past two years, is an unprecedented one for a German band. On October 2nd their third Album “Humanoid” will be released. MOPO talked with the identical twins Tom (Guitar, 20) and Bill Kaulitz (Vocals, 20).
MOPO: People generally say that androgynous pop stars are liked by young girls, because they’re not dangerous to them. Are you safe, Bill?
MOPO: Do you see yourself as an asexual being on stage or as an animalistic performing Frontman?
MOPO: In the media you already got compared to Michael Jackson, Victoria Beckham and Boy George. Which is the worst comparison?
MOPO: Did you watch your mother a lot when she stood in front of the mirror or where does this (habit of putting make-up on) come from?
MOPO: How much share does your hair have on Tokio Hotel’s success?
MOPO: When did you last enjoy the freedom of not being known?
MOPO: So, you’re living a life thats humanoid?
MOPO: Don’t you worry about the fact, that this life in a “cage” could have similar effects on you like on other celebrities?
MOPO: How big is the chance for you, to meet the girl of your dreams in a super market?
MOPO: Were you able to get in touch with some Hollywood Beauties while you recorded in LA?
Do you know this scandalous movie from the 90s? The video here totally reminds me of the scene when the "Kids" are going to the public pool in NY to break in. Bill and I also used to go swimming at night and broke into pools with our friends. Bill - clumsy as he is - hurt his hand really badly one time on the fence, fell down in the dirt and ever since he has a black little stone underneath his skin...you can even still see and feel it :D

German pop-rock act Tokio Hotel is launching a 3D holographic tour – a “virtual” performance to be shown in 12 cities across seven countries.
The promotion, which uses ground-breaking new technology, launches tomorrow (Oct. 2) in Berlin.
The performance will be broadcast via 3D holographic images in 12 stores of Europe’s leading consumer electronics retailer, the Media-Saturn Group. Hologram technology uses lasers and allows 3D images of the four musicians to be projected on stage.
Tokio Hotel will perform songs from their new album, “Humanoid” (Universal), for fans in France, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Belgium. The 3D performance was filmed with Tokio Hotel in Hamburg in September.
Tokio Hotel’s virtual tour will begin at a Media Markt store in Berlin, followed by virtual shows in other European cities from Oct. 5-19. This includes a show in Magdeburg, Germany – Tokio Hotel’s home town.
The itinerary will climax with an in-person, live performance by Tokio Hotel on Oct. 27 at the opening of France’s largest Saturn store in the Paris region.
“This is the perfect innovation, using new technology to bring the excitement of one of Europe’s biggest bands to their fans in different countries,” said Max Hole, EVP, Universal Music Group International, in a statement. “It’s also evidence of our commitment to support and serve partners such as Media-Saturn, by delivering a great experience for the audience. We expect this to be the first of many such initiatives.”
The virtual tour is a partnership between Tokio Hotel, Universal Music and the Media-Saturn Group.

Tom: At that time we extremely screwed up ...That was the time where you were just hanging out..someone smoked a joint..someone were drinking..all this stuff....At that time you were just hanging out and tried to be high in some way.
From the beginning the twins had been on VIP-parties and skipped nothing...and of course the headlines were there...
Tom: That was exactly the time as i thought...awesome i am a Rockstar....i take completly advantage of it.
But in the case of love it was never serious. In 100% Tokio Hotel on october 16th on RTL a very thoughtfully Bill explains why....
Bill: If i would fall in love now...in my situation ...it would be anyway like a lottery winning...i could never built up a relationship without somebody notice it..i had to let somebody know...and this girl would be probably escorted to my beedroom....
It became very clear which prize they have to pay for their fame...
Bill: We have a proberty with a garden...it is fenced ...there is a high fence..you can look no further than up to the fence..and otherwise we drive around with cars with black windows...you are not able to go on the street...
Today is the release of their new album Humanoid..and the freedom of Tokio hotel is going to be more less..but now they handle it a bit different ….more mature....
Have a great day! <3
Tokio Hotel is dismissed as a soulless commercial Teenie-Band, but is just as beloved as ‘cheap’. Taking the whole hysteria surrounding the Magdeburger quartet aside, they stand not only on high-energy rock shows with high entertainment value, but also modern catchy tunes, with which their expiration date will not be so soon as many malicious critics assume. Starting tomorrow the band will again demonstrate their quality – with their third CD “Humanoid”. Tim Hofmann chatted with guitarist Tom and singer Bill Kaulitz.
Free Press: In advance of the new album, up to this point there’s not much talk about the music, but a lot over your appearances. Your drummer has a new haircut – is that so important?
Free Press: The first single “Automatisch” sounds comparatively taken back and loaded with effects. Do you have something of the rock?
Free Press: Up till now you have barely used voice-altering effects and have left Bill’s voice natural. Now in modern pop the Autotune effect a la Cher is badly overused. Why?
Free Press: The new album title “Humanoid” sounds like an ironic allusion to the fact that, though you are still human, you are nonetheless often perceived only as art pieces, or highly idealized by fans. Is the title meant that way?
Free Press: Which praise from a musical colleague has meant the most to you so far?
Free Press: Which guitar riff in rock history would you most like to have written yourself?
Free Press: How much composer input of the band members is in the new pieces, and where does this inspiration come from?
Free Press: You're now very successful internationally. In which country are you most reduced to image, appearance, and tabloids, and in which is the music most in the foreground?
Free Press: You two have never concealed the fact that you would rather see a school from outside than inside and you prefer the stage. How does it feel when you are praised for the Realschul-Degree with a special award for "Distance Learning Youth Prize 2009?"

We’re almost used to these kinds of pictures. Tokio Hotel as Germany’s most successful export. They received Platinum in Athens, and they could hardly get away from screaming fans. But who would have thought that the sought after twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz had been mobbed at school? Their step-father even had to pick them up from school to make sure they didn’t get beat up. For the first time, ever, they spoke to my colleague Eva Kreuz about the hardest time of their lives.
T: It was like that on the bus in the mornings, too. People were beating each other up, all the time. Nobody took care of anyone, it was completely cold.
B: Those were the moments that we were incredibly glad that we had each other, that we were always together and nobody could ever catch us alone.
T: We never showed people that it was a hard time for us. We always kept our strong and dominant faces. We never let anyone get us down.

T: Naw. We don’t follow chart positions, anymore. The whole record market went so far downhill, charts lose their importance. Today, you only measure success by how long a band survives. And we’re doing well in that department.
B: You can’t allow things like that to get to you or stress you. We can only hope that the fans like our new record.
T: That’s what comes with success. There’s nothing you can do about that. We’re not afraid, but we don’t have a life outside the band, anymore.
B: Of course we do! Or we would have stopped doing this, ages ago. We chose the path of the band when we were fifteen, and we’re still very proud of what we’ve accomplished.

You can hear a difference, but we haven’t changed that much. And everyone’s afraid of change, but it can be for the best. We promise that this is the best album the fans will have ever heard.
Yes, but it’s not something new for us. Tom [Kaulitz, guitarist and Bill’s brother] and I grew up that way. As kids we inspired a lot of hatred, and we wouldn’t want to have it any other way.
We were outspoken kids, and that wasn’t so common. We stood out both with our looks and the way we behaved.

Humanoid promoshoot by Oliver Gast - 2009
Rollingstone.com article
What did Bill Kaulitz do with his charisma? With his over-the-top goth-pop vocals — and even more baroque hairspray-and-mascara styling — the 20-year-old singer has made this German band one of Europe's most popular and irresistible groups. But on Humanoid, he sounds strangely reduced. In part, it's a question of hooks: With the exception of "Hey You" and "World Behind My Wall," the album is melodically anemic and strangely low-key. Subtle is not a mode that suits Kaulitz — just check the coiffure.

One suspects many in the Tokio Hotel camp have been sporting similar injuries during the past four years. The band acknowledges the VMA win as "the biggest thing in our entire career," but in truth it was just another moment in a career trajectory that has defied conventional wisdom, international boundaries and, at times, logic.
At the same time, however, executives and band members alike were at something of a loss to explain the group's appeal. Bill cites the band's formidable online presence as a factor, while executives cite Bill's exotic look as crucial in attracting media attention and a vocal female fan base.
"Humanoid," which is more electronic than previous albums, is heavy on the science fiction. The first single is "Automatic" (or, if you prefer, "Automatisch"), a techno-rock anthem with a video featuring fast cars, robot sex and Bill looking like Bjork if she had played the Tina Turner role in "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome." The rest of the album is almost equally over the top, and the fist-punching rock of "Noise" and the Depeche Mode-style electronica of "Human Connect to Human" are catchy enough to appeal to teens from Berlin to Boise, Idaho.

He worked on the belt for 14 days. An order from the company “Wildcat”, which produces promotion-products for the Band. “Bill Kaulitz wanted a massive, high-quality belt made out of silver. We had several designs”, says Martin Siedler, manager of “Wildcat”, who was also involved in the design of the belt.
The Buckle and the letters are made of 925 sterling silver. “Bill Kaulitz liked the belt very much”, says Martin Siedler. And Reinold Willeke? He exclaimed a short but also quite triumphant “Yes”, when he saw the belt on the waistband of the Teenie-Star.

Bill Kaulitz: We already produced the Songs from our former Albums in English after a while, so it wasn’t a new thing for us to do. But it’s right, we planned in advance to write every Song also in English, that’s how we wrote the songs. It was a lot of work.
Bill: Yes, it’s cool! But it has always been a long-time goal to build up an international career with our producers. We simply want everyone to understand our Songs.
Tom Kaulitz: The production took so long because we had a lot of ideas. There were a lot of different Demo versions which Bill recorded. And when another idea comes to your mind, you try to record it.
Bill: I always have an unbelieveable amount of paper in my pockets, where I write down all my song ideas. It’s always a complete chaos, but I can handle that.
Bill: Yes, in emergency cases you also use your mobile and sure, the most ideas are saved on my Computer. But it’s always much faster to write an idea down if it occurs to you when you’re on the road or something like that.
Tom: Yes, that’s right. It was pretty cool. All of us have their licences for quite a while already – okay – Gustav already lost his (both laugh) – but it’s quite cool to drive a car. It’s a little piece of freedom for us, because we always have so much to do. When you are sitting in a car and you have some alone time, you can totally enjoy it.
Bill: Absolutely not! It’s quite the opposite. Since we’re 15, we work with people who are much older than us. It’s comepletely natural for us and also pretty cool, because you get to know a lot of different points of views. And I’m certainly proud of the fact that somebody like Karl Lagerfeld did that.
Bill: No, really not. On the contrary, we think it’s cool to talk with older people because they’re talking about other topics with you. That’s why we did that thing with Ingrid and Klaus – you know them from TV, right?
Bill: Exactly. Those who always comment on things. It actually was quite interesting to talk with them and to drink some coffee with them.
Bill: (grins) Well, you’ll be able to watch it on MTV and VIVA!
Bill: There simply also are some people wo hate us. We always knew that. Tom and I already knew that since we were little. Tom and I got attacked when we were 9 years old and we got in some trouble with a thousand people who hated us. And when you are successful, there are automatically some people who hate you. For us it happens in a bigger extent. I’m actually quite happy that there are people who react negatively towards us.
Tom: As long as you can trigger such emotions in people, you don’t have to worry about it.

Hello there again
<3
Host: 3 minutes with Tokio Hotel can seem to be a long time for some people but for us it’s a delight moreover when we ask the favorite band of the youth our most “teenage” questions. Bill and his pals, it’s now.
Voice over: A parisian palace… Many fans wearing black clothes… No, that’s not the opening of the crow festival, it’s Tokio Hotel coming to France. And Tokio Hotel it’s THAT: lots of 14 year old fans, hands grabbing the barriers to see their idol, millions of cds sold, may tears but also screams during the whole concert.
Bill: It’s true that people always ask us the same questions: are you hearing something over the screaming girls? Bur we’re not bothered by it, quite the contrary I think that it’s a great experience to go to a concert and be able to express your emotions like this by screaming. Moreover I think that it’s a chance to have an audience that screams so much. I can’t picture myself singing for people who would just clap, I would find it boring.
Host: But what happens when the screaming stops and the light is turned off? Our german idols come back to their golden cage and to the loneliness of pop stars. It’s impossible today for Tokio Hotel to live a normal teenage life.
Bill: (lol) No it’s true but Georg is in love.
Georg: Yes it’s true.
Bill: I haven’t been in love and didn’t have any relationship since TH began.
Host: Luckily the band can count on their staff’s friendship and cuddle with each others.
Tom: We’re all Bill fans, he is so cute (yeah you’re reading well Tom uses the word CUTE lol).
Host: And when the cameras are off what is it like? (Georg slapping Bill in the elevator) No what Bill lacks are far more material pleasures when his brother is happy with only watching porn in the tourbus.
Bill: I would love to be able to go shopping. For exemple, shop on the Champs Elysées.
Host: Yes on the Champs Elysées to buy black sheepskin shoulder pads like in “Automatic” video, the first single of their album “Humanoid”. What is the object without which our shopping queen could not live?
Bill: (yeah HE is the shopping QUEEN lol) Oh I must choose only one? You answer this.
Tom: My laptop heuuu women, they are not objects?
Bill: Oh ok so if we can choose other things than objects I would say that I can’t live without my dogs! (and here they are again!)
Host: Ok so on tour Bil must live without his puppies but he can count every night on thousands of rabid fans to obey him without discussing. Fans who have SO understand Bill’s difference that they are inspired by it.
Bill: I never tried to be understood by the others. I had only one goal and it was to do what I want. If today I see fans acting like us, or be inspired by us, find inside themselves their own difference obviously it makes me proud.
***Jumbie scene you all know that but the voice of the translator make Bill look so dumb lol***
Host: No matter if they have a little plane or a screw loose (here there’s a word play with the french words/expression that is to have a spider in/under the ceiling), the boys have seduced thousands of teenage girls around the world. So what is Tokio Hotel favorite sentence to seduce french girls.
Tom: I put my penis…
Georg: in your…
Tom: pussy!
Host: Awwww no guys! You’d better tell the ladies.
Bill: (tries several times to say) I really love what you do (that’s the title of the show).

In addition, they share about their touring plan. Twin brothers Bill Kaulitz and Tom Kaulitz reveal that they would love to have Kings of Leon, La Roux, The Prodigy or even Jay-Z as supporting acts when the band embark on a tour which is planned to be kicked off next year.

Hi there

Spiegel.de article
Bill Kaulitz: We already lived between two worlds as kids. We often felt like Aliens in the place where we grew up, and we still often feel like this today. This feeling always accompanied us. Trough our private live – from which isn’t much left – until our life as a Band. My life is full of walls and I’m filled with longing in all possible directions. But I think that a lot of people carry an uncertain longing in them, it has nothing to do with age.
Bill Kaulitz: People can still accuse that of me. Or do you think I should tell you some really heart-wrenching stories from my past relationships, so that this is finally out of the world?
Bill Kaulitz: Forget it!
Bill Kaulitz: No, I didn’t know this show, but some people asked me about it. But a lot of other things were already thrown at my head. Regardless to this, I have to say that I didn’t even want to see my face anymore. We tried to withdraw ourselves for a year from the public eye, to lock ourselves into the Studio with our producers.
Tom Kaulitz: There weren’t any major changes in our songwriting process, we – again – wrote the Songs together with our team of producers. We just experimented more and took our time. We mostly built the songs on song ideas from Bill.
Bill Kaulitz: We brought ourselves much more into the process of the production, and were also very keen on details. It’s the first time that we co-produced an Album.
Bill Kaulitz: I think it’s really silly, when people say, while releasng their second or third Album: “This wasn’t us on the records before, but now on this Album we finally found ourselves – that’s who we really are.”
Tom Kaulitz: And then they take this as a reason to call the Album after themselves. No, we still like our old Albums. And we don’t want to put any distance between us and those two records. If we had the feeling to do so, then we would have a problem.
Bill Kaulitz: It wasn’t our goal to change something on the way of recording our Albums with “Humanoid”. We noticed the fact that we do things differently gradually while producing. The only thing that we really wanted to do, was to not hand in our Album, before we love it ourselves – no matter how much time pressure our record company put on us.
Tom Kaulitz: And we went through with it. This caused some trouble behind the scenes, because of the date of handing in the Album.
Tom Kaulitz: Unfortunetly, we still haven’t been in Tokio! But we love the city, without having been there. As kids we always dreamed about visiting Tokio one day. But somehow you also don’t want to fulfill your dream, because then this dream is over and I still want to keep it for a while. For me it’s very important to be able to have my goals and wishes right in front of me.
Bill Kaulitz: Besides, maybe the city isn’t even as great as we think it is – then: again a dream destroyed.

All: Ciao!
I: Now a hello for our friends at msn!
Bill: Good morning… all together ^_^”
G, G, T: Ciao a tutti!
I: TH are here to answer your questions, the ones you submitted to our website. Let’s start with Beatrice’s question: why did you choose Automatic as the first single? Do you think it represents the sound of the new album well?
B: Sure. It had the right energy, the right atmosphere; we all agreed that it had to be the first single, that it was like the underlying theme of the whole album. Actually, it was one of the last songs we wrote for the album, but we immediately agreed.
T: No, I’d rather say the guitar is actually the one that gets penalized. Not his voice.
I: Let’s have a talk about technologies now. Who of you is fond of technology and the internet, and what do you like doing in the web?
B: I have to say, we’re kinda old-fashioned for our age. We just do ordinary stuff in the internet… check our mails… Tom also has his blog now. A part from that.. we’re no internet-freaks. Sure you read stuff, we’re curious, we go read fans’ reactions and suff..
T: We try to carry our fans along with us. As said, I have my blog to give them a vision on myself, what I love, what I’m interested in… and what I’m not. Then we have THTV, following us 24/7, to show people the way we are when cameras are gone, and we’re just f***ing around.
B: Ewww…
T: First of all, she has to get my sense of humor. Which is not easy. And then just generally…you just have to feel complementary, from the beginning. You can’t really think of concepts. You immediately feel it, if you’re on the same wavelength. It just has to feel right.
B & T: Aerosmith.
Ge: Oasis.
Gu: Metallica.
I: Yeah fine. Interesting! Different tastes. Let’s talk about Italy now. The previous question was from Antonella, this one is from Asia: would you guys like to write a song in Italian? Have you ever thought about that? Or: would you like to do a collab with an italian artist, and who?
B: The thing is, I”ve already have enough with my two languages, German and English, so there’s no plan for that now.
B: I can’t imagine my life to be other than music, we have no B plan. We’d be jobless musicians, playing in some cheap club, in front of just few people…
T: I can think of three other jobs: Policeman. Lazy policeman, sure. Lawyer. Or Porno star.
I: Oh! Ok. That was clear even without translating.
B: Well… I think it’s a bit too complicated to explain. It’s something very personal, just mine. I don’t even think everyone could understand. But I haven’t got back to the origins yet. I still need some years, but I’m very glad I can do it and I can’t wait to.
B: Oh I don’t have a fantasy girl or a dream girl, anything like that. I would’t be able to answer if someone asked me what my ideal girl is like. I do believe in love at first sight, and I’ll know it straight away when I meet the right one. To build one ex nove, I’m not even interested in that.
T: The Feminine version of Georg. More or less.
I: Now a question from Debora to Gustav: how and why did you come up with the idea of doing the wave at the end you your concerts?
Gu: I’m a typical soccer fan. And when you get to have a moment all by yourself, it’s like a highlight.
I: As you’re soccer fans, what’s your favourite soccer team?
Ge: Magdeburg!
Gu: Yeah totally.
T: ???? [ what is the name?? XD ]
B: We can’t say anything specific at the moment. We’re still planning. We have a new booking agency, and a new production agency (?)… we wiil come back anyway, but we don’t know the exact dates, or how many, yet.
I: Ok, so we’ll get more info in the next weeks or months.

Mopo.de article
Bill Kaulitz: I don’t know, but it could be. On the other hand a lot of people also say, that women like assholes. And yes, I always notice that it works for my brother. (grins)
Bill Kaulitz: I, myself, am not thinking about this at the moment. But a lot of other people think about me this way, just because there aren’t any amourous storys of me in the press because of the fact that they just didn’t happen. I didn’t have a girlfriend or a sexual relationship the whole time. That’s probably why people think about it that way.
Bill Kaulitz: The worst one is definitely Victoria Beckham! Even though I don’t think that she’s lousy – I just can’t comprehend this comparison. I can understand the comparison with Michael Jackson and Boy George, because they also wore make-up. But I think those are the only parallels. People tell me that there were a lot of Rockbands and “real men” in the 80’s, which were ten years older than me, had crimped hair and wore make-up. Hence, I didn’t even invent it.
Bill Kaulitz: No, absolutely not. My mother actually runs around without make-up. I just always had this enthusiasm for vampires.
Bill Kaulitz: I think a pretty large one, it’s a combination: Outfit, Styling, the personality and Music. It would be strange to continue making music without the Styling.
Tom Kaulitz: But it’s just a combination, when it’s real. There are a lot of artists, and I’m not a fan of them, who dress up just for the stage, and can’t even transport this feeling. You notice and feel that it’s fake.
Bill Kaulitz: Tom and I went to school like this.
Tom Kaulitz: Exactly, we always looked like this. We always run around, like we also run around on stage. I almost said that we also dress like this in private, but there’s no private life left, that’s why you can’t measure it. But in the past it was like this.
Bill Kaulitz: When we were in the US for the first time, at the beginning of 2008. We went out without Bodyguards, which was cool, but at the same time you think: “Somehow I want the people here to know our Music and recognize the band”. You’re always a bit torn between those two thoughts.
Bill Kaulitz: It’s already been our way of life since we were young. Of course it reaffirms the life that we’re living now, because it’s not normal. And you always get to feel this.
Tom Kaulitz: We grew up in the deepest province. We never felt normal, we always felt humanoid. Even today there are just a few places left where you feel familiar, and can relax. Because there are just a few moments, where it’s possible for you to come down. Actually, we get the feeling of familiarity only at home. We are at home on about 20 days in a year. Apart from that, you feel unfamiliar in every place that you visit. In a lot of situations you don’t even know, what you lost there.
Bill Kaulitz: When I notice that artists are dependent on pills or have a depression, I can probably understand them more than outsiders who aren’t stuck in such a life. I’m just incredibly happy that I have Tom and that we can support each other. I always have a family member with me, like this. And we’re together as a Band since almost 10 years and know each other very well. It’s probably a lot harder for someone like Britney Spears and other Solo-Artists.
Bill Kaulitz: You always hope that this will happen. I always say: Actually it’s the only reason to get up in the mornings! You want to be loved and to find your true love, everything else doesn’t make any sense! We have our Family and Friends, which only get more important for us. But of course I hope that love will happen. Even though I also know, that it’s the most unrealistic thing, that could happen right now. In the past 5 years, since our career as Tokio Hotel began, I didn’t have any relationships, nothing in this direction. But I still hope for a big coincidence to happen.
Tom Kaulitz: To be honest, there’s no shortage when it comes to Telephone numbers. I have so many in my mobile – I couldn’t even call that many women on a day.
Bill Kaulitz: The problem is, that you can’t get to know each other. Everything is superficial, and it’s over so fast. A lot of people think that you hang around at Events, but it’s not true. Everyone has his own schedule, and when the cameras are gone, everyone runs back into their own wardrobe. It’s never truly profound.

In their younger years, Tokio Hotel have already expierenced a lot more than others in their entire life. They are in the spotlight since the age of 15. Always a farouche pose and extremly cool....Now the twins are 20 years old and their words a surprisingly mature and thoughtfully when they talked about their beginning as a popstar.
Bill: Drugs and alcohol were...you never thought about it.....i think ...their is already nobody who did not tried it out......
Bill: As the negative headlines started and the discussion began about our age, parties and alcohol..that was the first time that i realized..oh there is another side.....how could i explain it to my grandfather.
Tom: Next day you have to go to a family celebration and there are such headlines in the newspaper about you...he drank hard drinks...some girls had been in his hotelroom..and so on....
Bill: At that time....i have to say...Tom had an extreme wastage of girls....
Tom: Every day there was another girl in my room.

Hello

Freiepresse.de article
Bill Kaulitz: That was always like that with us, and appearances are always a topic in the industry. Mushroom-heads (pudding bowl hair) with the Beatles, makeup with David Bowie, KISS wearing spandex – and today even Georg’s [hair] part. History repeats itself.
Bill: On Humanoid there are also again songs that concentrate on guitars. Overall, however, we have tried out many new sounds and also produced with synthesizers and keyboards. We haven’t become electro-DJs, but the album has an overall very fresh sound.
Tom: We now mix our record also in stereo, with Beatles-effect. No, actually we didn’t want to mention it, but (I can’t understand this – I think he’s making a joke about them having Lil Wayne, Kanye, Akon and Cher all in on the background vocals? I could be totally wrong.)
Bill: We didn’t have the term “Humanoid” in the beginning. Our songs have simply developed in this direction, and then the name was suddenly there – and everything fit perfectly. Overall, we were inspired foremost by what really happens in our lives. Many tracks from “Humanoid” explain stories and feelings since the last album. But it’s also true, “Humanoid” is also a small piece of how people sometimes perceive us.
Tom: Early on the opinion of our stepfather was the most important for us, who also plays guitar. Today there are often very nice compliments, but nothing that one should make something out of.
Tom: Well, during a break on “Automatic,” I played “Hells Bells” from AC/DC with Georg – that is definitely beastly (awesome)!
Tom: Bill runs around with thousands of crumpled papers in his pockets, and writes down ideas and lines for new songs at every opportunity. Sometimes then the text comes first, sometimes the melody. We write songs often a s ateam, but we have no recipe.
Bill: On the subject of sound, of course, much comes from Tom. It’s now also so, with the keyboard sounds. Tom really plays the best.
Tom: With "Humanoid" we have also worked a long time with synthesizers and keyboards. Gustav for example now has also electronic drums next to his rock set. What's super awesome is, I can simply turn them quieter during rehearsal!
Bill: That's less dependent on country than on our interview partners. We always have both. Sometimes it's about songs, lyrics, and concerts, and sometimes about appearance and so on. But both are okay for us. When I run around [looking] like this, I don't expect that nobody will talk to me about it!
Tom: Yeah, school was and is a total horror for us. We just stressed. The teachers hated us and didn't hide it. But the feeling was mutual! We only did the degree because the authorities forced us. But we thought, "okay, if we already have to do it, then let's at least do it well." We are perfectionists.
